Campus Dining: Dining is another area where Tufts shines. I remember visiting other schools and thinking the dining was okay but Tufts wowed me. I'm sure as I spend more time here things will start to get a bit more stale for me, but I find the dining options are varied enough to keep me very happy. There are many things to choose from in the dining halls with tons of new things as well as staples that you can always count on. There are also other places to get food on campus like the Jumbo Express, the campus center, the Tower in Tisch Library, etc. And Moe's of course which is great, although there should be some sort of way he can take JumboCash or credit card.

5 College Student

Campus Dining: The food is actually FANTASTIC. Dewick will make gaining a freshman 15 all too easy. Trick turning was also great, but it won't exist after this year :( The late night commons is great too, especially for those on the unlimited meal plan. It beats Moe's and Helen's any day, and becomes a sort of social hub/after party meetup on weekends.

1 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: The food is so disgusting and no variety or healthy options. I hate it.

5 College Freshman

Campus Dining: Tons of vegan and vegetarian food in Carm, Dewick and Hodgdon - if you are concerned about this, Tufts will have you covered with plenty of options, which are usually pretty good. They have a huge salad bar and fruit as well. Their non-vegan food is normally pretty good as well, as the food is usually healthy and tastes great at the same time, not to mention the huge selections and variety. It's not restaurant or home cooked food, but as far as campus dining goes, it's near the best around.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: Dewick is great! it has a lot of variety, but you might get bored of the food after a few semesters.

The verdict is out: The majority of Tufts students will tell you that the food on campus is great. Students here who have been to other university cafeterias agree that they are lucky because it could have been a lot worse. There are always fresh vegetables and fruits in the Tufts dining halls, Campus Center eateries are generally packed, and Sunday brunch is one of the largest social events on campus. The one drawback is that the food can get monotonous after a while, but fortunately, MOPS—a restaurant delivery program—provides the opportunity to order in, while still putting the bill on your meal plan.

The unlimited meal plan is required for the first year, which some students resent. And while it is true that you probably won’t get to eat all the food you pay for before the end of the semester, having the same meal plan provides a common bond between you and everyone in your freshman class. And remember, there are still three more years to experience all the on-campus options outside of the dining hall, like Brown & Brew and Dewick.
