4 College Senior

Transportation: I drive and generally don't travel far enough on campus that it isn't within walking distance, so I don't have this issue.

3 College Senior

Transportation: Although, the university offer good transept services, the caps shuttles are limited to only few areas.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: Not bad but not convienient

5 College Junior

Transportation: Shuttles run all night during finals

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: Transportation is cheap, easy to access and conveniently timed. If it was slightly less crowded, it would be perfect.

Students agree that it is not difficult to find transportation in and around Towson. On campus, there is a bus system that is convenient, but many students would rather just walk than wait. In the winter, the campus bus becomes especially convenient when the ground is icy and you are concerned for your own safety. Students who travel by bus or cab find it suitable, although many choose the local taxi service over the buses.

The truth is that, for the most part, everywhere you might need to go will only be a short walk away. The transportation systems at Towson and in the surrounding area are suitable but very often unnecessary. The cabs are necessary to get to downtown Baltimore, but you will not need them to get uptown. Students who do use the transportation systems provided find them to be reliable but difficult to contact on specific nights when so many students are calling them for rides.
