Towson is the type of school that, if you find the right people, you will have a wonderful experience. For those who have trouble making friends, it is highly recommended to get involved on campus. There are many organizations and sports teams that thrive in Towson and are strongly recommended in order to assist students in finding a solid group of friends. Some students love Towson so much that they just cannot pinpoint exactly what it is that they love so much. Perhaps it is the attentive faculty at Towson or the nightlife that has so much to offer. Maybe they just enjoy the small, comfortable campus setting that allows them to pass by familiar faces every day.

Towson is a school that becomes what you make of it. It is clear that the students who are engaged in their work or are interested in an organization gain a greater sense of appreciation for Towson. Campus Housing: I loveeee living on campus! You get to meet great people in your building and other buildings. I feel like I know more people because I have lived on campus for two years. There are always great programs that are hosted by the RA's or The University Residence Government who focuses specifically on each student living in the halls. West Village has some of the newer dorms, but its a longer walk to class. Right in the middle of everything is the Glenn Towers! But for me the dorms with the best community is Prettyman, Scarborough, and Residence Tower.

Nightlife: Nightlife Uptown is great if your 21+... If not you must know people (or follow) to get to the house parties. The party scene that I have experienced so far is very positive and makes the week go by faster!

Campus Strictness: Our school Is but isn't strict. They just concentrate on the important things the most such as each student staying safe and staying out of trouble by following the rules and laws. Parking sucks and the tickets are expensive. In residence halls security makes rounds. They also have RA's walk around checking for noise violations, drugs, and alcohol.

Guys & Girls: Our Campus is very diverse. You can go up to anyone and have a great conversation without being judged. Many people are into sorority life. The girls and guy dress up on most days and there are also some that like to be comfortable in sweatpants and flip-flops.

Health & Safety: I love our security system on campus and inside of the residence halls. The officers are very friendly and I have made great relationships with some and I know that I will be safe. There are emergency buttons located on campus every 20 minutes. The campus also does a great job making sure when walking at night, that all areas are well lit.
