Parking can be stressful at Towson. During popular class hours, the garages can get packed, and it is likely some students will  have to wait a long time in order to find a parking spot. As a result, it is recommended for commuters to arrive earlier than their class times in order to find a spot, especially when it snows. On snow days, many students must face troubles trying to get their vehicles out of their spots.

Some of the parking garages are far from the rest of the classes, and many students must resort to those garages in order to avoid getting a ticket. Towson police are always ticketing, and they are expensive, so try to get a permit if you are bringing a vehicle to school. If you do not get a permit, there is sometimes room on the streets but not always.

Getting a Parking Permit
Parking permits can be purchased at the Auxiliary Services Business Office in the University Union. However, it is more convenient to purchase them online. Prices vary, but the meter police at Towson are extremely strict, so it is a small price to pay as opposed to the mounting parking tickets that can prevent you from registering from classes or even getting your diploma.
