3 College Senior

Greek Life: I have friends that are Greeks, they mix fine with the rest of us, we never get invited to their parties though.

College Freshman

Greek Life: I was never part of Greek Life.

College Sophomore

Greek Life: Not sure about Greek life, I only know what I see

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: I don't really know much about Greek Life

2 College Junior

Greek Life: In my experience, members of Greek life are often rude to those who are non-members, and can be very disrespectful to guest speakers who present on-campus. Additionally, drinking is a major problem in this community.

Whether it is some fraternity’s toga party or a sorority’s semi-formal, joining Greek life at Towson can be a lot of fun. The students who are involved in Greek life claim that it has a highly visible role on campus, and many students involved say they cannot imagine having a good college experience at TU without joining a sorority or a fraternity.

But, joining a sorority or fraternity at Towson can be awfully time consuming, since meetings and events are held almost every week, or at least every other. As a result, many who are involved in Greek life may say that it plays a big role on campus because they are constantly around it. As a student in Towson, you are bound to come across Greeks wearing their letters just about every day, but a good majority of students choose not to join and are content with their decisions. Furthermore, those who are not involved in Greek life do not think it dominates the social scene at all.
