In Towson, students are not required to lease or own a computer, but many students agree that it is much more convenient to bring a one to school. Many professors at Towson require students to submit many typed assignments, so it would be difficult for a student to not have a computer. However, a student will be safe without one, since there are so many computers on campus. Towson also offers many labs aside from the computers in Cook Library, and as soon as a student chooses a major, they are often allowed access to that department’s computer lab.
Although the labs are easy to utilize on campus, many students agree that they get crowded during finals and certain hours of the day. Nonetheless, the general agreement about computers is that they are used on a daily basis and are necessary for plenty of assignments, which is why having your own computer could make your experience easier. But, a student could be fine without a computer if they are willing to go to a computer lab for their assignments.
