Off-Campus Housing: I have never lived off campus soo I wouldn't know what to say about off campus housing

Athletics: Towson Football is on the come up. I expect them to make it far in the NCAA playoff this year! The basketball team also is good too. Our point guard is great! The biggest mistake Towson made though was ending the men's soccer team because they were really good. I don't get it if they kept the female team they should also keep the male one too.

Diversity: Mostly White people. Most of the black population knows each other. We have some hot ass gay people tho. Barley any Latinos and Asians.

Campus Housing: I loveeee living on campus! You get to meet great people in your building and other buildings. I feel like I know more people because I have lived on campus for two years. There are always great programs that are hosted by the RA's or The University Residence Government who focuses specifically on each student living in the halls. West Village has some of the newer dorms, but its a longer walk to class. Right in the middle of everything is the Glenn Towers! But for me the dorms with the best community is Prettyman, Scarborough, and Residence Tower.

Nightlife: Nightlife Uptown is great if your 21+... If not you must know people (or follow) to get to the house parties. The party scene that I have experienced so far is very positive and makes the week go by faster!

Campus Strictness: Our school Is but isn't strict. They just concentrate on the important things the most such as each student staying safe and staying out of trouble by following the rules and laws. Parking sucks and the tickets are expensive. In residence halls security makes rounds. They also have RA's walk around checking for noise violations, drugs, and alcohol.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Our Campus is very diverse. You can go up to anyone and have a great conversation without being judged. Many people are into sorority life. The girls and guy dress up on most days and there are also some that like to be comfortable in sweatpants and flip-flops.

Health & Safety: I love our security system on campus and inside of the residence halls. The officers are very friendly and I have made great relationships with some and I know that I will be safe. There are emergency buttons located on campus every 20 minutes. The campus also does a great job making sure when walking at night, that all areas are well lit.

Athletics: Each game day for the popular sports such as Basketball, Football, and Lacrosse is an exciting experience. The whole campus is supportive and are decked out in spirit wear. I personally love cheering at all the games and the energy the school gives. Our teams are also great! We have won majority of our games which have lead us to championships.

Off-Campus Housing: It's expensive and your parents have to sign everything because you dont have good income. They should be more flexible with students

Overall Experience: Towson University is one of the greatest places I've ever been to. I love it more than anything. I've had great professors and classes, as well as an amazing social life. None of my classes have been too big, and I really love the variety we have. I would recommend Towson to anybody.

Athletics: Towson students have a lot of school spirit. Every football and basketball game is full of students in the student sections, and we always have a great time at the games.

Nightlife: There are plenty of places to go if you are looking for a party. Many students have off campus houses or apartments that parties are hosted at. You could also go uptown on York Road where there are plenty of bars.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I feel as though the Towson University Police Department does do a great job at alerting students when there is crime going on, and does everything they can to keep us safe. However, there have been many robberies, and I feel as though the robbers never get found.

College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: I have yet to live in off campus housing in my time at Towson, for I lived in a dorm last year and will be a resident assistant this year. However, my friends who do live in off campus housing have been very pleased.

Scholarships: I'm very grateful for the financial aid I received, but it was a real hassle to go through. I had to verify the same information multiple times, which got very frustrating.

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: I love going out with my friends at night, but I worry a lot about our safety. There has been a lot of crime in the area, so you really have to be careful where you go.

Campus Dining: I love the quality and variety of food we have, even in our dining halls. However, I wish that more places were open longer hours on the weekends, because I don't really like to eat off campus.

Majors: In order for me to get into my major, which is nursing, I have a list of prerequisites I have to take, and I have to be in the top 72 applicants for the program. While I have not gotten into the major yet, I am confident that I will get in due to my hard work, especially in my science and math classes.

5 College Sophomore

Majors: I love being a nursing major. Science really interests me, and a lot of the professors are willing to help.

Campus Strictness: A lot of students complain that there is a very strict policy on visitors in the building. Honestly, it makes me feel safe that every visitor is checked in and not allowed in the building without being checked in with somebody who lives in the building.

Towson is the type of school that, if you find the right people, you will have a wonderful experience. For those who have trouble making friends, it is highly recommended to get involved on campus. There are many organizations and sports teams that thrive in Towson and are strongly recommended in order to assist students in finding a solid group of friends. Some students love Towson so much that they just cannot pinpoint exactly what it is that they love so much. Perhaps it is the attentive faculty at Towson or the nightlife that has so much to offer. Maybe they just enjoy the small, comfortable campus setting that allows them to pass by familiar faces every day.

Towson is a school that becomes what you make of it. It is clear that the students who are engaged in their work or are interested in an organization gain a greater sense of appreciation for Towson. Some students express how rewarding their experiences at Towson have been while acknowledging the fact that the University is not for everyone.
