Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

What's great about Russell Sage College is the friendly atmosphere, the variety of courses, and the professors who actually want to see students succeed. One problem that some students have encountered is the changing curriculum for certain majors, which causes student schedules to become altered and completely messed up. However, problems like this one are usually fixable by speaking with an adviser. Overall, the College greatly prepares students for their future careers through student involvement in extracurricular activities and community service. When students volunteer with companies in their fields of study, they make connections with people who they could potentially work for someday, through opportunities like internships and job shadowing.

Russell Sage College is unique because it is an all-women’s college, and all women who attend Sage end up having the power to change the world. Sage wants all of its students to make a difference, and many other schools do not focus as much on the power and influence of women as Sage does. Being influential is one of the most important and positive skills a student could acquire, and it is valued by the College, as well as the students.

Scholarships: I was able to get through the process easily but I got screwed in the financially, I didn't get as much as I had hoped. I have so many more expenses that I can't pay for and didn't receive enough to cover it. Unfortunately I'm going to have to find some loans that I can qualify for.

Off-Campus Dining: There are so many places! I think I ate somewhere different every time I ordered food outside of food! There was a great selection!

Facilities: The gallery spaces are great! It's a very beautiful college and has a lot to do!

Campus Housing: I loved living on campus. Everything was easy with moving in, roommates were great, lots of in-building events. The RA's are awesome. I'm still good friends with most of them.

Local Atmosphere: I love Albany! It's a nice place, especially in college town. I love it in Albany. It's easy to get around, there are all kinds of things fairly close and it's just beautiful. Everything is just lovely!
