4 College Freshman

Nightlife: Again...frats some of those boys are just beautiful, free alcohol, usually dont get turned away if your a girl

4 College Sophomore

Nightlife: I was never a partier but I know some of the students will go to the frat houses at RPI, bars around town, and sometimes travel to Albany.

3 College Freshman

Nightlife: Sometimes it is hard to get to games because they are all off campus. There is a shuttle that drives back and fourth between Russell Sage and Sage Albany. Night life at RSC is always off campus, usually at RPI (party wise). Parties aren't raging.

3 College Junior

Nightlife: There are mixers that are held with other surrounding colleges but only 2-3 times a semester.

College Senior

Nightlife: I commute and I'm an older graduate student. Its urban location would suggest plenty of things to do within 20 minutes of the campus.

Students usually go out on Friday and Saturday nights, but some students will attend small parties during the week at other colleges. Almost all students go out and experience the party scene within the first week of being on campus, but after that crazy first week, partying is not a big deal at Sage. Bars and clubs are in the surrounding area and are easily accessible. The cost of the clubs and bars depends on the location, special events, and whether food or drinks are purchased; an average night out could range anywhere between $10 and $30—or maybe more. The cover charge to enter clubs and the cost of food at bars are fairly reasonable, but the cost of drinks is more expensive. Oftentimes, students will go out just to enjoy the atmosphere and will not purchase drinks.

House parties do not happen at Sage unless it is a small get-together with a club of some sort. Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is within walking distance from Sage, and many students go there for house or frat parties. There is always a house party going on at RPI. In terms of underagers, options include attending events that are being held on campus or at RPI, such as holiday parties and dances.

One Caroline Street Bistro is really a nightclub, not a bistro. It is a student favorite because students can go here during the day and grab lunch, walk around Saratoga, and then come back at night for music and dancing.
