1 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: I mean I go to the all girls school but the guys on the albany campus (sports guys) are okay

1 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: At RSC it is 97% female with about 6 males. The other men that you see around campus are from Sage Albany. A lot of them are soccer players and aren't the most attractive, but looks don't matter right??? The six guys that go to RSC are very out going and don't take my word for it, but I'm pretty sure they are all in the theater program. They aren't my type, but they could be yours. RPI (boys school) is just a walk away anyways, and where most parties are at. Most girls that go to this school already have boyfriends, and some like other girls (works out for them right??).

1 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Guys usually hang out at the student center. You can find most girls hanging out in Buckman. Graduate students are often dressed in sweat pants and sweat shirts while undergraduate students are normally dressed in a nice pair of jeans and a shirt. There is not a large selection of guys were can make the interaction among males and females scarce.

4 College Senior

Guys & Girls: I don't think I have seen any guys there? But all the girls are nice.

5 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Friendly Environment – Not only are the students at this school stylish, they are also friendly and helpful. When I transfered to this school last semester everyone was ready and willing to make that semester one that I will always remember. I am happy that this school is very tight knit and everyone knows each other. It makes campus life a lot easier to deal with.

Russell Sage College is an all-women’s college, so the majority is female, with the exception of a few guys who take courses at Sage for graduate school or from the Sage of Albany campus. The average student spends a decent amount of time on schoolwork and is in good academic standing. The average student also likes to hang out with friends, is willing to try new things, and likes to have fun. Students at Sage are relatable toward each other because they are all women (obviously), but being an all-female school also makes the students more respective of each other; plus, there is no competition with guys.

Most girls at Sage already have a boyfriend when they arrive on campus, but if they do not, they end up dating a guy from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute or the Sage College of Albany. There is a lot of homosexual dating on campus, as well. Students are generally more reserved, and if someone is sexually promiscuous, she does not show it on campus. Students are more reserved because they do not want to give the College a bad image; plus, they respect each other's decisions, whether it's to be promiscuous or not be promiscuous.

Social Scene
All students are outgoing, and they want to be involved in every aspect of Sage and the community. Students love to make up their own events, such as jewelry-making night or baking night, so they can have fun and meet new people. There is a lot of interaction between students in the classroom, the dining hall, and even at school events. People like to attend sporting events, mixers, and join clubs in order to be in on the social scene.
Hookups or Relationships?
The dating scene is low-key amongst students. Students do mention guys, boyfriends, or partners, but they are way too busy with school to make dating their number-one priority. Some students get involved in serious relationships, while others just casually date. Most students in a serious relationship usually had a significant other before they even started college. If students do not come in with a significant other, they end up dating around from year to year. There are a lot of random hookups, but only because students do not want to make dating one person their number-one priority while in college.
Dress Code
Since there are no guys to impress at school, students usually dress in sweatpants, sweatshirts, T-shirts, and sneakers or boots for class and then wear the same clothes to lunch, as well. If students are planning to go off campus for lunch or dinner, then they will usually wear jeans and a nice top. A dress and a pair of high heels are a must when it comes to parties. Sage girls will also dress up for any special occasions taking place on campus.
