2 College Freshman

Greek Life: There is no Greek life on campus and for the most part, students do not care about Greek life at all. There are some clubs with Greek names and in neighboring schools but that is it.

Greek Life: There is no greek life at Russell Sage College. I was told when we first got here that we weren't allowed to have sororities or fraternities.

1 College Junior

Greek Life: At Russell Sage there isn't a "Greek Life". Some people try to make a group but it doesnt seem legit. RPI is the neighboring college that have a lot of Greek groups. This is where most of the partying for both colleges go on.

College Sophomore

Greek Life: No Greek – Russell Sage doesn't have sororities or fraternities, but we are close to some RPI fraternities so that's where most girls go to party.

2 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Greek life does not take over the scene at Russell Sage College. Most of the student's are not interested in that and are more involved with campus events. For the most part it is not a big deal.

There are not really any Greek organizations on campus and only a few of the honors clubs actually have Greek names. Since there is little Greek life present at Sage, there is no special housing for students interested in Greek life; therefore, there is no differentiation between a Greek community and the rest of campus.

Russell Sage is an all-women’s college, with the exception of some guys, so it is like one big sorority. However, there are no distinguished sorority groups. If students would like to get a taste of fraternities or sororities, then they should visit Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), which is up the hill from Sage. Students do not care about the lack of Greek life on campus, and for the most part, they do not seem interested in it unless they visit RPI. Since Sage was founded in 1916, there has never been a Greek system in use. However, some residence halls seem to take the place of the Greek life social system, with some residences featuring students of certain ethnicities and people who want to live there need to be able to speak that language.
