TCNJ is situated in a mild, temperate climate. During the months of spring and summer, students are advised to bring with them appropriate clothing and mosquito repellent. Despite being near Trenton, there are not many negative industrial by-products affecting the land or air.
TCNJ gets ample snowfall during the winter and late autumn months; thus, it is advisable for students to equip themselves with winter gear, overcoats, boots, and ice picks for their cars. If a student is parked on the top part of a lot or in an open lot, he or she may be required to shovel a clear path out until campus maintenance clears the parking lots. During the spring, things can become humid, and thus, it is necessary to bring an umbrella and other rain gear.
