Tuition & Financial Aid: a little more expensive but worth it

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: It's an awesome school. I wouldn't do it all over again, and if I would I would openly go for another degree! I grew so much as an individual here and learned so much with the time here. I enjoy this school very much!

Career Services: When I first started college I was only 19 years old and never held a job before. I actually used Career Services to help me with the process of looking for a part-time job to get extra money while I attend school. They were so helpful in so many ways. They even helped me with my resume and even helped me practice with a mock interview. I got a job very soon after and I don't think I could do it without the help from them. I still am currently in school and I haven't checked back with them for career-based jobs. They are all friendly and really helpful so I am sure they will help me when the time comes.

Online Courses: Not a big fan of online classes because I do prefer hands-on learning. However I have taken a couple of online courses and they were pretty easy to do. They had forums where you could interact and participate with other students and the instructor. I also thought it was pretty cool meeting people from all over! I've actually learned a couple of things from the courses.

Tuition & Financial Aid: My parents apparently make too much and that means less money for me when it comes to financial aid. Just because their numbers on paper means they are above average, I still barely can afford college. I still have to struggle to pay a monthly amount and I really need the help from scholarships to help support my education. Money has been such a stressful worry from the start and I really just want to focus more into my education.

Student Body: I commute to school an hour away so I don't really involve myself with clubs and student body. However I do notice many students make clubs, organization, shows, and etc. I've made many friends who share the same interests as me and are really cool to hang out with outside of class. Having the same class makes it fun to have something to always talk about.

Academic Experience: I really enjoy learning from all my teachers. Even the ones that other students find intimidating. I find that I gain a lot of knowledge from all my professors because they know the industry really well. It is also amazing to hear who the professors know and worked with. I've even had a few professors who know a bunch of people from Pixar and Disney! The professors here are awesome and they really help you try to get you to call your inner talents and make them shine even more.

Academic Experience: I love our academics. I tend to be a person who gets caught up in my busy lifestyle that I forgot registration weeks many, many times. I never had a problem not getting the classes I want because I always get the classes I want and on the days I want as well.

Facilities: The only thing I wish for at this school would be a small cafe area! That would lovely. I would also like some more study areas here at this school other than the library. Other than that the open labs are readily available. I enjoy even going into the open labs when there is a class going on from one of my past favorite teachers. The school really stepped it up with surrounding the school with more visual graphics of student's work! Overall the campus is modern and you can sense the student life here to be really positive.

Academic Flexibility: If it wasn't for this school I wouldn't know the ins and outs of the industry taught by the professors who know hands on the industry. I learned so much here and love surrounding myself with other creatives. The assignments are all hands on related to your specific field, even the general education classes try to fit in with your major. I love watching myself grow with all the knowledge I am receiving here at The Art Institute. It is an excellent school for creative people.

Academic Experience: I'm glad im in web design because i'm passionate about learning something that i've been doing my entire life essentially. I'm extremely good with computers so i already have a head start. The workload is a lot but like i said, the professors want to make sure that you're getting what you paid for so they prepare you for want you need to do in order to be ready for the real work force world.

Academic Experience: The class registration process is extremely easy, you can go on the site to register yourself for classes or you can meet with your career services advisor and he'll help you register for classes. if you're struggling with understanding the class lectures, there's a free tutoring program that tutors can help you with. the curriculum is related to your major as well as the adobe programs which comes completely free for you to use in the computer labs. If you're struggling with navigating it, the professor or students will help you.

Overall Experience: If i had a choice to do it all over again, i would say no because this school has helped me a lot and i have never gained so much knowledge over a period in my life. I really believe that i have grew intellectually as a individual and gained a better understanding in how the professional work experience goes within my field.

4 College Junior

Career Services: I've had one friend graduate from the art institutes. She is now working with a web design company called digital gear which is a company that makes websites from clients that they get. Other than that, the career services really helps you out in finding a job that fits your major whether it be a internship or a job that allows you to get additional work experience if you do or do not have any.

Academic Flexibility: I've been at the art institute of Sacramento for 2 years now and i just want to say that i learned a lot while i have been here. I made tons of new friends and they helped me improve on my homework critiques in class and as well as learning the other programs from instructors that use group activities. The frustrations i've had were the heavy work-load. the professors at this school want to make sure you're getting your moneys worth and hit you hard with lots of projects and homework assignments. It was hard for me at first because i transferred from high school right to college so i wasn't used to it now i am. I've gained a keen understanding of how i spend my time within the class and at home.

Facilities: The first thing that i want to say is diversity, which is a huge thing within the art institutes. Like i said, people are going for different fields of study that you might have class with; along the way you might make friends with them and learn a lot about what they're doing after they graduate just like you. The second thing is the friendly environment, people are extremely nice and are willing to help you if you are in need of it. 3rd and most important, is the creativity, it's amazing what art some of the students pull off at this school that you know that they'll be good at what they do once they graduate from this college. they're very hard working and commited to taking on there field seriously.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: I haven't taken any online courses only classroom courses. However, i'm sure it's a lot different because you actually have the professor there explaining that material in real time. I'm positive that a lot of people would prefer a classroom experience because they want to interact with other people within that classroom rather than sitting at home and taking it. In addition, it relates very closely to how the professor fits each students needs rather than them not being there and avoiding confusion of not being in the actual classroom itself.

4 College Junior

Student Body: Theirs a lot of diversity at the art institutes because of many different people that are within different fields of study such as culinary, game art and design, web design, graphic design etc. Most importantly, we all get along just fine and are willing to help out each other along the way.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The art institutes is a pretty pricey school. However, i was really excited on going to this school because it had the specific major that i was seeking so i know that once i graduate, i'll be able to find something that i'm passionate about.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: They help me a lot when i'm in need of assistance. If i have a question on the computer, the library student worker will usually come over and help me answer my question and even provide me assistance in the future on how to do it.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: The computer labs at my school are extremely good. they are up to date with the latest version of the adobe products as well as other applications such as microsoft suite.

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition is really high because it is a private school but the financial aid officers really help try to find money for you to pay for your schooling there. They also give out scholarships to those who are earning good merit grades too.

College Sophomore

Career Services: We do not have post-grad services here.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Graphic and Web Design is my major. I would say the teaching and curriculum is taught really well. i would only say that the workload can be a lot at times and can be stressful. The school is also helpful in trying to find internship and job opportunities as well.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: The professors know what they are talking about. They also are very entertaining and make classes that are even boring bearable. Class registration is really simple and even if you have trouble, the academic advisers will assist you and make sure you are all signed up.
