4 College Freshman

Weather: Compared to Houston where I am from, I love the weather. The school does cancel classes when the roads are icey.

3 College Freshman

Weather: This is Texas, so the weather can shift from season to season in a span of 24 hours. During the warmer months, it's awesome because we have the river. When it's cold, there's a lot less people walking around campus for sure. We like the heat here. But it kinda sucks walking around campus when you're sweating and the sun is blinding you.

3 College Freshman

Weather: I mean we are in Texas, so the weather is bipolar. Here in San Marcos though it is always nice during at least part of the day but mostly its sunny and wonderful.

3 College Freshman

Weather: I hate the rain, so I make sure to bring an umbrella everyday there is a possibility of rain.

If you have never been to Texas, be warned: the weather can be random. Anyone will tell you this. It can be 15 degrees in the morning (only during some winter months) and rise to 60 degrees by 2 p.m.

Be well prepared for all seasons when you come to these parts. However, don't forget your swimsuit. You surely will want to bring that since, well, this is Texas, and there is the San Marcos River, running crystal-clear water right through campus at a consistent temperature of 72 to 74 degrees year-round.

If you're a stargazer, definitely check out Freeman Ranch during meteor showers. It's truly the best viewing around these parts.
