The nightlife in San Marcos can be termed "lively." Happy people and happy places combine for a great time, and that is exactly what you will get around the bars and parties in San Marcos.

Most of the bars in San Marcos are located in the Downtown Square. What's more, the square is within walking distance from campus—talk about easy access. And if the square doesn't quite fit your fancy, Austin's Sixth Street is only 30 minutes away. You don't even have to drive there yourself; there are party buses that run to Sixth Street from San Marcos and back. Needless to say, the trip back is a party within itself—no joke!
