Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition is reasonable especially because it is a community college and the financial aid office is very helpful.

Student Body: Becuse it is a community college you get a mixture of the hard working individual that are trying to further the careers and the incoming freshmen who can also show you a thing or 2.

Facilities: What I liked about (and what made me come to) TSTC is that it focuses on the importance of hands-on learning and has the program I wanted to enter. The classes are mainly hands-on labs, with practical lectures and both performance and theory exams.

Campus Resources: There is a plethora of computer labs. If the library isn't open, there are many other rooms available to use a computer in. Also, there is a school-wide wireless connection for the students that have their own computers.

Campus Resources: TSTC has its own gymnasium and while I don't attend it myself, students have told me that it's a great place. I spend a lot of time in the library, and it's an amazing resource to have.

Career Services: For the Computer Systems Management Technology program I'm in, several companies around the Rio Grande Valley look for new TSTC graduates to hire.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid process is interesting. The school distributes each student their own ID which can double as a debit card for financial aid. The only drawback is that it takes two weeks from semester start for financial aid itself to be distributed, but I'm not sure if that's the same for every college.

Academic Flexibility: As far as I've seen, the only problem I had was that my credits didn't get transferred in during my first semester (didn't affect my classes). This was easily resolved same-day by calling the registration office.

Career Services: The career center is great. The staff there really help you with any questions and concerns that you may have.
