Off-Campus Dining: There is McDonalds, Kroger with a starbucks inside, Malisters deli, sun and moon, coldstone, pizza snob. There is a lot to choose from. Even SMOOTHIE KING AND POT BELLYS!

Diversity: This is very little diversity at TCU, outside of the athletes and international students. There is also still a heavy bias toward Texas residents. I found high school to be more diverse than TCU. Great

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: There is only one dining hall and the food gets old fast. There needs to be more variety. The dining plan is also very expensive versus other schools.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: The campus always feels relatively safe. There have been a few isolated robberies and break ins but the campus police force is very good. The area surrounding the school can be a bit dicey in certain areas but that is probably the same with any campus

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Alcohol is easy to get and is a big part of the social scene. The school enforces the ban on drinking in the dorm but looks the other way when kids stumble in after a night out.

Greek Life: The Greek scene dominates at TCU. If you are a guy, being independent significantly limits your options. In many ways, it's like being in high school with the same cliques---right down to houses eating at the same tables in the dining halls. Your opportunity to meet and socialize with new people is sharply limited. Parties are closed to non Greeks, unless you are female.

TCU has recently expanded its enrollment but the number of available bids did not increase proportionately. Even if you want to go Greek, you may not be given an opportunity---a situation which makes for a long semester. Many of the bids are given informally before rush even starts.

Campus Housing: I got stuck in the only dorm that has not been renovated, which kind of sucked, but they are tearing it apart and updating it this summer (2014) ... other than Colby the dorms are ridiculously nice and spacious!

Nightlife: If you are a partier, TCU is perfect for you. There is literally something going on every night of the week! Lots of parties and many people go to the bars. Lots of people have fakes, but many don't.

Facilities: We seriously have the most beautiful campus and the facilities are the absolute best!

Facilities: It has a lot to do with if you are involved with the greek life or not. It's not a necessity, but it really is a big part about campus. However, no matter who you are and what you are or are not involved in, you will find a group and something to do at anytime of the day. Even if you aren't able to get around, there are plenty of things to do in walking distance!

Parking: If you are able to park in one of the student parking lots you are golden. Other than that, good luck!

Local Atmosphere: Fort Worth is called Cowtown USA for a reason. There is a variety of things to see and do all around Fort Worth. One can go into downtown and go to 5-star restaurants or go to Billy Bob's and enjoy the world's largest honky tonk!

Diversity: There is a wide variety of religious beliefs, sexual orientation, and racial diversity on campus. Most are accepting of one another and work together in a variety of organizations and community events. Everyone is welcoming of others.

Guys & Girls: There is about 63% girls and 37% boys on campus. Both range from smart,stuck-up, into partying, and hardworking. Most people on campus have a variety of many of the qualities listed above.

Scholarships: Every time I applied for some kind of aid, something went wrong and I'd have to reapply or was denied. FAFSA took forever and I don't think I was taken into that much consideration. From TCU, I'm a part of the 1% that are Disciples of Christ which is the religion that TCU is affiliated with. Usually there is a large scholarship for this, but this year they did not give out as much as years past.

Facilities: We can eat as many times a week as we would like and can get into all athletic events for free. We always have events going on on campus. We have petting zoos, blow ups and other activities everyday of the week. For hump day, the university literally brought in a camel for us!

Facilities: Students are involved in a variety of things. Students can be involved in athletics, organizations and greek life. It does not matter if you are involved in a fraternity or sorority. You can do whatever interests you and will never be judged.

Campus Dining: We have an unlimited amount of meals for the year. We are not limited to a certain amount of times we can go to the cafeteria a week. There are late night options Sunday through Thursday. Vegetarian and Gluten-free options are available for students. There is quite a variety that sometimes we take advantage of but many universities probably do not have.

Weather: I grew up in Texas so I'm used to the bipolar weather. Some students hate that one day it could be 45 degrees and raining and the next day humid and 80.

Academics: I've always wanted to have a career in the fashion industry but never wanted to go into the design aspect of it. At TCU we get the perfect mix of the business and design part of the fashion industry and are provided with a variety of resources that not many other schools could give its students.

Academics: Professors and the curriculum are top-notch. All professors care for their students and would like to get to know them personally. They are dedicated to helping their students with anything. The curriculum is an amazing quality and there are many widespread options of studies.

Overall Experience: This university has so many opportunities that others do not provide. They are very dedicated to their students and would do anything for them to tend to their desires. I would choose this school for anybody who wanted a university that cared about them personally and were not just a number.

Campus Housing: All dorms are top quality. There are some that have not been redone in a decade or so but they are still a great quality compared to other universities. The dorms provide many amenities that others do not They have very many social events for students and are near campus. The size of all are decent. Cost is average.

Off-Campus Housing: Some of the housing is pretty old while some areas are extremely well off. Depending on what the student is looking for and the price will give the student what they are looking for. All options are conveniently near campus with available transportation. Not very much parking anywhere.

Most students at TCU are pleased with their education and the opportunities presented to them. While diversity continues to be an issue on campus, strong academics, good facilities, and countless organizations play a larger role in student life. To most students, TCU offers a strong academic foundation in a lively setting. Fort Worth and Dallas provide endless entertainment, while campus police and Froggie Five-O do their best to protect and serve the students on TCU’s campus. Students have a wide variety of living options, providing them with a great environment while earning their educations.

Don't be fooled by the name: TCU isn’t a stuffy church school. It’s a place where students are encouraged to try new things and branch out. A few numerous organizations—Greek ones in particular—tend to discriminate between social groups, but the overall student body is quite friendly. Academically, students are eager to learn, and a small student-faculty ratio allows students to interact closely with each of their professors. In the long run, many TCU students truly appreciate the campus for what it is and tend to view it as an experience like no other. It sure is good to be a Horned Frog!
