Parking: I do not have a car

Diversity: Because of the high price tag, TCU is not very diverse as a whole. There is quite a lot of diversity but you won't see it very often.

College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I do not live off campus. But my friends really enjoy living off campus

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: There are not very many options at all.

3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: There are so many more girls than boys. Girls almost outnumber the boys by half.

4 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: Usually if you do not do something stupid, or get caught you are fine. It is pretty much don't ask, don't tell. The RA's for freshman are pretty nice unless someone is really really loud or trips in front of them or something.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: We have amazing facilities, and many programs that allow students to join as many things as they can handle. Various sports clubs, language clubs, and many others are prevalent all over campus.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: Teachers really make an effort to get to know students. It really makes a difference in the classroom when a teacher is willing to meet with you outside of class. The class sizes are almost all under 40, unless in big intro lecture classes, which most do not exceed 120. The classroom environment is a very good setting.

College Freshman

Scholarships: I didn't apply for aid

4 College Sophomore

Majors: For this program you must have an internship the summer of your junior year. I have heard nothing but good things from seniors about their internship. Many of them got to go to New York or Paris!

Majors: I love this program! I would do absolutely do it again! My only concern about my field is that its very competitive to get a good job but I have little doubt because of the way TCU prepares their students.

Majors: Getting into the fashion merchandising program at TCU is not hard at all. You apply for the major when you apply for the school and switching into the program isn't difficult either.

Majors: The Fashion merchandising program at TCU is wonderful! I feel that I will be very prepared when I graduate because of the wide range of classes that I have to take. You definitely have a well rounded experience.

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Though SMU is fairly close, students do not interact much at all. There are many things to do in the surrounding area of Fort Worth, with downtown and the Stockyards nearby.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are many places off campus, but within walking distance, to eat at. With a wide variety, there is always somewhere to go to eat good food.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: The majority of the students are white and Christian, but this doesn't mean that there isn't acceptance of others. Everyone is very understanding and open to the backgrounds, ideas, and viewpoints of others.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: There are many campus events and something always going on. For example, there have been petting zoos, slip'n'slides, snow-cones, and a monkey in the commons. There are many places to hang out too, like the dorms or the commons or Union Grounds.

Facilities: The facilities are extremely high quality and nice. Many facilities are fairly new, like the football stadium, Rec center, and some dorms. Nothing is too outdated.

Most students at TCU are pleased with their education and the opportunities presented to them. While diversity continues to be an issue on campus, strong academics, good facilities, and countless organizations play a larger role in student life. To most students, TCU offers a strong academic foundation in a lively setting. Fort Worth and Dallas provide endless entertainment, while campus police and Froggie Five-O do their best to protect and serve the students on TCU’s campus. Students have a wide variety of living options, providing them with a great environment while earning their educations.

Don't be fooled by the name: TCU isn’t a stuffy church school. It’s a place where students are encouraged to try new things and branch out. A few numerous organizations—Greek ones in particular—tend to discriminate between social groups, but the overall student body is quite friendly. Academically, students are eager to learn, and a small student-faculty ratio allows students to interact closely with each of their professors. In the long run, many TCU students truly appreciate the campus for what it is and tend to view it as an experience like no other. It sure is good to be a Horned Frog!
