Campus Dining: I don't dine on campus so it wouldn't be fair to give a rating.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: There is a variety of foods, but they also have signature days like "Wing Wednesdays" or "Fish Friday's"

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: Food choices on campus are limited to regular fast food options which are open the latest in the evening.

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: We have the Cafe. It offers different types of cuisine, from your traditional hamburger and pizza to pretty good home cooked meals. They offer a big salad bar and a desert by as well. They also have a Chick-a-fila and Pizza Hut but their prices are a little steep and they don't offer much.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: Places around campus could be a little more healthier but they give good student discounts if you have your student id

The food on campus is mediocre at best. There are meal plans available to students who live on campus, but it is a generic menu every day. Each meal consists of a meat and two vegetables, but TSU students love their junk food, so the cafeteria is the least popular place on campus for students to eat. Another drawback of the cafeteria, other than the food, is the hours of operation. College students are known for pulling long hours, and it closes at 7 p.m. through the week, which forces students to go elsewhere for food. Freshmen are required to have a meal plan, and usually that’s about all it takes for them to realize there is better food available.

Students’ options are limited, especially those who are on special diets, because this is a Southern school, and therefore, greasy food is in! Soul food and junk food are the most popular diets, but the cafeteria really tries to serve well-balanced meals, as they should. The other eateries on campus are fairly good, such as the on-campus sports restaurant, Sports Zone, but generally you are still limited to a daily menu without promise of change. The dining hall is very comfortable during cold weather; however, eating in the dining halls gets very boring after awhile, and you’ll soon be running out to local fast food restaurants.
