Off-Campus Dining: There are the same restaurants that we see everyday which is fine because they have cheap prices. It would be nice to have different restaurants that we can sit down and eat at.

Transportation: There really isn't that much transportation so if you do not have a car you can't get around like you need to.

Academics: When Tarleton was in Killeen the classes were a joke. Luckily the new school A&M University Central Texas is showing an improvement.

Off-Campus Dining: The surrounding area of the school has no special dining offers for college students/ No student discounts or study friendly facilities are offered. The convenience is ok, since there are many, yet, the choices are limited to the typical chain restaurants and fast-food chains. The cost is ok since all of these chains usually have value menus but the health aspect is very poor.

Computers: The computer labs at the SW Metroplex campus are almost always open and a great place to get assignments done. There is rarely a crowd and there are multiple locations to choose from. It is where I spend most of my time when not in class.

Off-Campus Dining: There are lots of dining establishments to choose from within a short distance from the campus. The selection ranges from fast food chains to family owned restaurants and from home style to tex-mex and everything in between.

Campus Strictness: Tarleton is strict, but fair. They are big on attendance and require that students attend 85% of a class to be able to receive credit for the course.

Athletics: I attend the Southwest Metroplex Campus of Tarleton State University, located in Fort Worth, Texas. There are no athletics related to this campus.

Nightlife: I'm not a huge partier, but the nightlife seems normal for college towns. House parties are better out of town, less cops.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: I have always had good experiences with the finanical aid office. I always get enough money to pay for school and never have any problems getting refunds.

Diversity: There is alot of ethnic/racial diversity here. We have lots of professors that come from India, and lots of foreign exchange students.

Campus Strictness: Drinking and drugs really aren't tolerated. If you get arrested you have to go see the Dean and write a paper over an assigned topic. If you have multiple offenses, you can be put on probation and possible be kicked out.

3 College Junior

Athletics: I dont follow the sports teams at my school, except for the rodeo team. They did great this year!

3 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: While the local attitude shines, Stephenville is a small town lacking in things that would attract most college students

4 College Freshman

Transportation: Everything is pretty close. You walk to classes from your dorm/apartment and there are restaurants within walking distance.

5 College Freshman

Weather: OH MY GOSH. Coming from central Texas, Stephenville is a dream. Its rarely hotter than 95, and winters are not harsh at all. Its always beautiful!
