4 College Sophomore

Academics: We aren't a very well known school but that means we get a lot of one on one time with teachers and therefore students tend to do better.

2 College Sophomore

Transportation: Parking is terrible. We pay for it and sometimes students cannot even find a place to park. Also, there is no other option. The campus does not offer transport.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: The police are not very present on campus which therefore leads to a lack of security. However, I feel like once the construction is completed it will feel much safer without people constantly on campus who are not students.

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: Most times of the year there are not many places to go. But during certain times the nightlife is almost too much.

2 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: As far as places to eat we have a few locally owned restaurants but other than that the only chain eateries are McDonald's, Sonic, Taco Bell, Chili's, Whataburger, and Subway.

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: This campus is absolutely beautiful and so wonderful.

College Sophomore

Scholarships: I did not apply for financial aid.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: The campus is pretty understand and forgiving for certain things but some of their rules are strictly enforced.

2 College Sophomore

Weather: The weather is so unpredictable it makes it very hard to plan more than two hours in advance for anything. Also this December the school had to close down for 3 days during finals due to snow, ice, and altogether unsafe weather conditions.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: The intramurals are definitely a huge deal in this area. The "varsity" sports are big but unlike most Texas schools basketball seems to overshadow the football because the team is better and the facilities offered are better.

5 College Sophomore

Greek Life: The Greek life on this campus is so diverse. Also, beyond the "social" benefits they are most well known for being super involved on campus. The Greek life students are not Greek exclusive and tend to socialize with other organizations.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: The programs of study here are top notch. They are understanding and work with students to get a timely graduation. I am not concerned at all about finding a job because the professors here have great connections across the state and this will be beneficial to be able to work with them. Also, being required to hold an internship during the time at the college is very helpful and teaches tons of skills.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: The program and college of study for communications is not difficult to get into or to remain in. As beneficial as this may be it also offers no sense of exclusivity.

4 College Sophomore

Weather: For the most part, its really nice. Especially when its warm and sunny and you can go out to Heritage park to relax and have fun

3 College Sophomore

Computers: I personally use my personal laptop for almost everything, but there are lots of computer labs and computers in the library to use if I have need

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I like that you only have to fill out one application for all of the scholarship options, I just wish that I was able to get more, so I didn't have to take out loans.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are a lot of different food options just across the street of campus, so they are easy to get to. Plus there is a pizza delivery place nearby as well

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I like living on campus, just because I'm close to classes and I don't really have to worry about the parking issue. Plus a lot of my friends this year I made because they live in the same dorm

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: I hear a lot of good things about greeks on campus, but I am not directly involved

2 College Sophomore

Diversity: There are a lot of white people on campus, while there is some diversity, there isn't noticeably a lot

College Sophomore

Athletics: I'm personally not that interested in sports, but the facilities I've seen have looked really good, and the gym is nice

College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: I have lived on campus ever since I got here, it is just easier for me. I have heard good things about off campus housing from friends who live off campus though.

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: I like it here, its peaceful

3 College Sophomore

Academics: The classes are nice, and as long as you do the work and study you will do fine. You have to be quick about registering for classes because they fill up fast

5 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There are plenty of "mom and pop" restaurants that know how to make good home-made food. But if you're looking for some simple fast food, we've definitely got that too.
