4 College Junior

Transportation: There usually always a bus that goes to the mall or downtown. I never had a problem with transportation and my college usually provides transportation for students going to the airport during breaks.

3 College Senior

Transportation: You have to plan out your transportation along with your class schedule.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: Transportation is good, but if you miss a bus to go off campus you usually have to wait about 40 minutes for the next bus.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: the buses are easy to understand but sometimes can be late. it's difficult to get to the airport or bus station because the school doesn't offer buses to those places and taxis are very expensive.

4 College Sophomore

Transportation: The Zipcar program is something I have never experienced, but I see many people with them and I think it's a wonderful program to have. The campus shuttle is very convenient and I enjoy that it also goes to the downtown area.

Getting around campus is fairly easy if you pay attention to the many schedules and signs provided for students. Syracuse University has a convenient bus service that shuttles students to and from South Campus, as well as around main campus. There are also three bus stops on campus for trips to such places as downtown Syracuse and the Carousel Mall. As long as you know the schedule, you will certainly do fine getting around campus.

Also, taxis are always readily available. Some students hail a cab to go to the airport, which can be fairly inexpensive. Other students like to use cabs as their designated driver when they go to bars and frats on campus, and they are always available late at night. Buses, trains, and planes are also convenient, as long as you can make your way to either Hancock Airport or the Transportation Center. Both are within a 10-minute drive from the SU campus. Although the airport is small, there are flights that leave from Hancock to almost every destination an SU student would need to go.
