Local Atmosphere: The atmosphere surrounding Sweet Briar is pretty much non-exsisting

1 person found this useful Report
2 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Sweet Briar is in the middle of nowhere. Lynchburg is about 30 miles away but it is actually quite a haul for a quick night out for dinner on a night when you have an exam the next day. There are only two restaurants close to the school and you get tired of them very quickly.

Local Atmosphere: There is nothing out here but mountains and Sheetz.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Lynchburg is the closest town and it's pretty much run by Liberty, but it has everything you need, mall, Starbucks, Barnes and Noble, Walmart, Sam's Club, etc. about twenty minutes away. Now that's what I consider and would rather go to, but Madison Heights is about ten minutes and has a Walmart, Sheetz and some places to eat. Amherst is like five minutes and has a Food Lion, CVS, and a few places to eat. A lot of girls go to other schools for parties and athletic events, those schools are about an hour, maybe more away. There are a few schools closer, but for some reason not a lot of girls go to them. There are also some historical places to visit and DC and the beach are about four hours away, I believe, if you really want to.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: We're kind of in the middle of nowhere, but I love it most of the time!
