Facts & Statistics

Things I Wish I Knew Before Coming To School
  • 8 a.m. classes are nearly impossible to get up for.
  • Don't buy "college clothes" because most people dress down.
  • How to parallel park
  • It's not easy to make friends in big classes.
  • It's tough to get by without a car.
  • To purchase every winter accessory
  • You don't need to decide what you want to study right away.
Interviews & Information Sessions
A program called "Visit UB" schedules information sessions and campus tours with enthusiastic students called "UB Stars." To reserve a spot with Visit UB, and you must do so two weeks in advance, call 1-888-UB-ADMIT, E-mail ub-admissions@buffalo.edu, or register online at http://em.422x.com/SUNYBuffalo/Admissions/.
Campus Tours
Campus tours are generally offered Monday through Friday at 1 p.m. The program begins with an information session in Capen Hall and ends with a lengthy campus tour. Visit http://em.422x.com/SUNYBuffalo/Admissions/ to view the available tour dates and to reserve a spot.
Overnight Visits
UB doesn't have a formal overnight visit program. But if you're from New York State, it's more than likely that somebody from your high school went to UB, so talk to your guidance counselor.
