Off-Campus Dining: The food at my dining hall is the best! I can't complain. Different food every day, every week!

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Around SUNY Albany most off campus dining is take out food. The pizza is pretty bad, as is the wings. With that said chicken Joes is a great spot for those looking for good, unhealthy, junk food! Beware though... the delivery wait could be upwards of 2 hours!

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: The weekends have a lot more restaurants open later. Students are roaming the streets at 3am looking for pizza and sure enough they can get it. The prices are fair for the quality of the food.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There's food delivery available almost anytime and there's always places to get downtown when you're out. The downside is food delivery like wings over and pizza places can be pretty expensive.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: If you're a vegetarian.....Im not to sure on what you would order from places. Other than that if you like burgers, wings, pizza, chinese food, etc. you'll enjoy the food. Other than that.....you might be out of luck.

For all of you food critics out there, you certainly won’t be disappointed with the variety of food options within a close vicinity of campus. Whether you prefer fine wining and dining or a big greasy burger and milkshake, there are endless opportunities for a night out for dinner with friends or a big hearty breakfast. Some examples include (but are not limited to) Five Guys, Moe’s, McDonald’s, Taco Bell, The Cheesecake Factory, Olive Garden, IHOP, and many others. All of these options are within driving distance. Establishments such as Chipotle, Starbucks, TGI Fridays, and Cold Stone are located in Stuyvesant Plaza, a five-minute walk from campus. These are very popular with students because of the close proximity.

If you venture farther downtown, you can find a wider variety of eateries, ranging from Mexican to Japanese to Thai. You’ll find an abundance of little corner cafés and delicious diners. Jillian’s is also located deeper downtown, an exciting sports bar enjoyed by many hungry students hoping to catch the game. If you don’t feel like driving or you crave a midnight snack, there are endless takeout options that deliver right to your building. Wings Over Albany, Domino's, Madison’s Pizza, Chang’s Garden, Dragon City, DP Dough, and many other places make deliveries at 3 a.m., curing the late-night munchies for many a hungry student.
