4 College Senior

Overall Experience: If you are involved in campus life, you will have a blast.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: I have loved being at Ulster. It was a great first step in pursuing my degree. I met wonderful people, worked hands on in small classrooms, and met some incredible instructors along the way.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: Ulster has a great and competitive nursing program. Many teachers are great, especially in the math and science department.

3 College Senior

Career Services: I have not heard much about the career center. I get most advice from my instructors and my advisor.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: The library is nice. The campus is pretty small but is overall fairly pretty.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: Many computers available in library and several computer labs. There is a cost for printing papers. I recommend bringing your own laptop just in case there aren't any available.

4 College Senior

Student Body: I have made lifelong friends at Ulster

3 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I am not eligible for financial aid, but tuition is fair.

4 College Senior

Facilities: I've had some really fantastic teachers, and it's easy to get involved on campus.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: Credits earned online do not generally transfer to 4-year private colleges. Beware the lure of winternet!

3 College Senior

Online Courses: history and psychology are great to take online. Strongly advise against taking English or Spanish online.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: great people and teachers and easy to get a college feel with out going away

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: for some majors not very teacher/course options

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: i haven't had to many online course

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Wide range of classes and teachers to choose from for the most part

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: Its a good community college. pretty campus

2 College Junior

Student Body: Typical student shows a lack of respect for almost everything, including their own education.

2 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: It seems like every other semester there are some quacks in the financial aid, and i think everyone thinks something is funky about it. Nothing has changed with my financial status year to year, but one year i am denied financial aid, the next my bill is completely covered. I was unable to get a straightforward explanation from the school.

College Junior

Career Services: I have not graduated from this school yet, so i can't say.

2 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Class schedules are not as flexible as they could be, there are some classes that are only scheduled in one time slot.

3 College Junior

Facilities: There is not much campus life outside of the cafeteria and library, but then again it is a community college.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: Math and science major is very fun, the professors in this department are very intelligent and helpful. They are also by far the most involved professors at this school.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Depending on what major you are enrolled in you will get a different experience. Psychology, Sociology, and History specifically seem to be there just to collect salary. They are not involved outside the class room for the most part, and can be very difficult, even impossible to get in contact with when help is needed

Online Courses: I enrolled in an online psychology course here, and that was the worst decision i had ever made. I attribute it mainly to the professor i had, it was a blended online and in class once a week class. The assignments online were not terrible, but then the in class portion was torture. It was as if she completely forgot what class she was teaching and had a completely different curriculum compared to what we learned on the online section of the course. I do not think anyone in that class got above a C, and trying to get help from the professor was almost a guarantee to get rude and snotty comments from her.

Overall Experience: This school really is a perfect example of getting out what you put in. it took me until my third semester here to realize this, but getting involved with classes, and other people in my classes makes this college great. It seems like most of the people who go here just go to say they are in school. Nobody seems to really care, and the professors are more than surprised when someone like myself comes in and actually does well on everything. Its a bit sad, but i think most of the people here just lack the self discipline or don't care enough to do well.
