Campus Strictness: i feel they are reasonable

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: there could be more to choose from

5 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: only heard about pot and alcohol no hard drugs

College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: I live in my hometown about thirty miles from campus

3 College Sophomore

Academics: Its alright, some teachers could take more pride in their work.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Its nothing special, some buildings are better then others, defiantly try and get off campus as soon as you can though. This school makes you wait two years before you can get off.

4 College Sophomore

Greek Life: I love the greek life up at school. Its a close community where everybody knows everybody because its a small school. The only people that have parties are greeks. If you go to potsdam I would highly recommend joining a house.

2 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I herd it was a long process and very annoying. The people that are in the offices are unresponsive I heard.

4 College Sophomore

Weather: Its awesome because I love to snowboard, but a lot of people complain about it being too cold… it hit -26 this semester and my car wouldn't start. It gets very cold.

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Its really good theres just not a whole lot of variety.

4 College Sophomore

Nightlife: Its great for the first year your there. But you have to join a fraternity or a sorority to keep having a good time. Its a small school and the greek community is very close. Transportation is non existent the bars are a short walk, along with greek houses. Im in a fraternity and I'm having a blast. 2 of the bars will let you in if your under 21 and one won't.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Im not a smoker but they have a new policy that you can only smoke in certain places on campus. These sports are in the furthest away places from the dorms. I personally don't mind it though because I hate smokers. The attendance policy varies from teacher to teacher, generally as you get further into your major attendance is required. For general education classes attendance policy is less enforced.

2 College Sophomore

Athletics: Nobody really goes to any of the sporting events mainly because nobody knows when they are. The intramural sports are good though because anybody to can do them. The soccer team is the most popular team on campus, I think there good.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: Getting into the business program wasn't hard. I had to meet up with the head of the program and have him sign a sheet of paper. Then just hand it in.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: I like the program I am in currently. The workload is manageable, the curriculum is a lot more about knowing definitions then concepts. I plan on transferring out, I came to potsdam initially because I wasn't sure what program I wanted to peruse. Some staff members are extremely devoted to the students and some don't really care about their job. The business department is also to small.

3 College Junior

Transportation: I ride the bus with the Amish sometimes.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: It's not bad if you're in a townhouse

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: There's nothing particularly bad or good about it

3 College Junior

Diversity: There are some students who are a different ethnicity but not too many.
