3 College Senior

Athletics: Honestly, competitive sports aren't that popular here. Not many students go to games. However, club sports are very popular, and students here are generally very health conscious.

4 College Junior

Athletics: For a somewhat small school there are definitely options. I wish I had time to dedicate to softball in the school, but athletics are prominent in the school.

3 College Senior

Athletics: We have some good teams - volleyball and women's basketball, in particular - but we are a typical D3 school

3 College Freshman

Athletics: theres athletes but its not a huge part of campus life if your not a part of it

College Freshman

Athletics: I'm a bookworm so I haven't given any attempt to get involved in the sports. I do know that we don't have a football team but nobody seems to want one. I like that I don't get guilted into attending sporting events, you can if you want to but no one will bother you about it if you don't.

SUNY New Paltz is not known for its athleticism, but it stands proudly as a Division III school. That being said, NP facilities are great, and the trainers and coaches are just as good. There is a team or club for just about every sport except football.

Sports on campus include basketball, baseball, track, swimming, and soccer. Popular clubs are ultimate Frisbee, fencing, and rugby. Many students participate in intramural activities, which include softball, dodgeball, and basketball.
