4 College Junior

Campus Housing: Living on campus is quite convenient. Classes are not far from the dorms, so it's easy to get to classes when living on campus. Transportation is also a big help for students living on campus who want to commute to town or the mall. There are also many activities involved on campus that students can engage in

College Junior

Greek Life: Greek-life students are usually perceived quite negatively most of the time. Most students believe that Greek students are party animals, holding nothing but a negative influence on non-Greek students, but they aren't as bad as students describe them to be.

Guys & Girls: There are more girls in SUNY Oneonta than there are guys. Most students are also in a relationship, as well. Guys in this school are typically tall; the minimum height is probably around 5'6-5'7 ft. Most guys in this school are pretty laid-back, so they usually wear sweatpants. Most guys like to party, play video games, or exercise in the gym.

The majority of girls in Oneonta have blonde hair, so you'll definitely spot at least one blonde-haired girl on or off-campus. Girls typically wear yoga pants in Oneonta.

Nightlife: I don't party myself, but the party scene pretty much sums up how every weekend is for most Oneonta students. Parties usually take place off-campus, but they can also take place on campus, as well. If you're not into drinking, you can still go and have fun without drinking. However, peer pressure can be quite overwhelming, so make sure to decide wisely whether you'd like to live the party life or not.

Scholarships: I'm still dealing with loans, but the aid is helpful.

Campus Dining: too much of the same

Overall Experience: Even though I applied early enough, my application was not processed until two weeks after the deadline. I was denied housing at first, and when I attempted to put myself on the fall semester waiting list I was told that it was full, only to find out two days before classes started that that was not the case and that I had been jerked around for two months.

Health & Safety: I've had no problems with the on-campus police force, though they are a little ridiculous in how often they hand out tickets. And the health center has been nothing but helpful to me.

College Junior

Athletics: I don't pay attention to the sports on campus at all and have no experience with them.

Campus Dining: Honestly, over the course of the year the campus dining got progressively worse. At first I enjoyed it, but the options soon became monotonous and made me not want to eat. By the end of Spring semester I could barely stomach or digest the food, as the dining halls were using the scraps of what was left to feed us. Really and truly, horrifying.

Majors: I love my major and the fact that I have the ability to choose it and pursue exactly what it is I want to do.

5 College Junior

Majors: I had no difficulties of challenges. I just need to prove myself and my dedication.

Scholarships: Despite doing fantastically at my previous college Oneonta gave me the run around about scholarships until it was too late for me to receive one. And my first semester there, confused me and my parents about the Parent Plus Loan we were offered so that I still owed the school a substantial amount of money into October without even realizing it.

Guys & Girls: They look like people? I'm not really into judging people based on their looks. It's stupid.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Could be better, could be worse. Oneonta is not really the place to go for great food options.

2 College Junior

Diversity: Oneonta claims to be an "incredibly diverse campus", yet 90% of the student body is white. Colored students are few and far between. The only real diversity on campus comes from Hulbert Hall, and only because ALL the international students are crammed in there and isolated from the rest of campus.

4 College Junior

Facilities: I've had nothing but a positive experience with the on-campus facilities.

College Junior

Facilities: I don't really understand the question much. Most state schools are the same in a lot of aspects.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: The school is incredibly (ridiculously) strict about alcohol use on campus. If it was allowed in the dorms (for 21+) there would not be a need for as much crazy, out of control drinking off campus, and students would be put in less danger of being run over, passing out alone, or making a scene.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: The townspeople have mixed reactions to the college students in town.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: I love my major. They are tough classes, but truly prepare students.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: The professors are very intelligent and professional. The curriculum is tough, but fair. The workload can be overwhelming, but is meant to prepare us for life.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: My campus is strict, but I believe they could do more. The cops do the best they can but many people still get away with drinking in the dorms.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: The library and health center are great facilities on campus and the gyms are always clean.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: I feel like our college is unique because of our dining program. The mykitchen is a place that most colleges don't have.
