3 College Senior

Facilities: It's a SUNY school so I guess it's ok

3 College Senior

Facilities: We don't have spring fling and things like that but we have a lot of free events

3 College Senior

Campus Dining: It's okay just like you would expect from any campus

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: When ever we need a help from police department, they are there for our safety.

4 College Junior

Athletics: I can only say one thing about it which is it is great to have almost 5 different sports and have access to play any of them for free. I love it.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Around the school area, there are a lot of restaurants or fast food place for almost every culture.

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: I usually do not eat in school , but according to my friends who eat constantly in school say, " You do not want to eat pizza from dinning hall" :)

2 College Junior

Weather: Last huge snow storm we had was bad. It took while for them to clean parking lots and the condition of the roads were inconvenience. However, school did their best to assure us the best.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Housing around the campus is great. The maximum distance to school is about 15 minutes which is great. It safe and convenience.

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: There are student about 10 different countries and they all bring their culture , lifestyle and etc. I think that is awesome to see and meet with different cultures. Instead of reading about them, you live with them.

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: I have only seen it couple times around school and some of the students were stinking in classroom.

4 College Junior

Computers: We have about 10 computer labs where every student can find space and appropriate computer or any other device for his/her work to be completely done. I think that you do not have to bring your computer to school unless you have your all work saved in your computer and you want to continue from there. School has high speed internet and every computer lab has at least 1 or more printers.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: no peer pressure, hardly any bust ups

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: the taxi cost too much sometimes, we need discounts for rides from the train station to school

4 College Sophomore

Greek Life: the Greek life are more concern in planning events for the school. they are friendly and cool to hang out with.

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: most parties are off campus

3 College Sophomore

Academics: nothing much is happening right now for my major

3 College Sophomore

Academics: everything is available if you ask or hear about it

2 College Sophomore

Majors: I have never had an internship, but I plan on getting one. However, it is hard to find one that is relevant to my major. I want to more of a hands on internship. My career goal is to become a crime scene investigator, and I am having trouble finding a internship for my goal.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: The courses that I am taking are okay, but I feel like I need more for my major and my school doesn't seem to have much for my major. I also might have concerns in finding a job after college in this field. My career goal is to become a crime scene investigator.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: its a great town with no trouble

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: it was better than my previous college. i was able to get my aid at a certain time.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: When the weather is bad and dangerous, the school notifies us two hours before school starts to cancel classes

3 College Sophomore

Computers: The computer labs are okay, there are minor issues, but they are okay so far

1 College Freshman

The professors at SUNY Old Westbury can be helpful and are more than experienced in their fields. Miscommunication can be an issue among students, though, so a little more organization would go a long way in students avoiding frustration and even contempt. Classes are hard but manageable, but most students are able to apply knowledge gained from previous courses and succeed.

The personal level of interest the school takes in students could be better. The registration process must be streamlined and a set system should be established to increase the speed of the process. Otherwise, everyone is very helpful, especially financial aid.
