3 College Senior

Campus Housing: I choose to live off-campus because campus is too expensive.

4 College Senior

Diversity: Buff State is a diverse campus.

Local Atmosphere: Lots of nightlife for college students, tons of shopping, but some areas are not the nicest to live or hang out.

4 College Senior

Scholarships: The financial aid office was helpful, and I racked up my loans in no time!

3 College Senior

Greek Life: Am not one for Greek life, but it's not unbelievably popular at Buff State.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: Class sizes are small and professors are average.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: Students in the graduate program are highly motivated.

Off-Campus Housing: I found an apartment with two other roommates in no time. I've heard places fill up quickly, but I responded to the ad the day after it was posted, so I didn't have a problem searching.

3 College Senior

Facilities: Pretty average campus, nothing too special.

Guys & Girls: The school is diverse in physical appearance and interests.

4 College Senior

Athletics: Plenty of sports to keep athletes busy.

Nightlife: The impact of parties on student's experience can vary from good to bad because some students may like it so much that they end up not doing their maximum effort in school. Most of the good parties take place outside the school and it's sometimes difficult to get there, however I personally feel like there could more parties on campus since not a lot of students can afford to go the the off campus parties.

Majors: I haven't had an internship before but i am looking forward to it. I am planning on doing multiple internships during my junior and senior year. It is very important to me because i know that they will help me gain more experiences in my field of study which is business management. An internship will also help me learn about many things outside the classroom and develop my skills. It is also very important to me because I've only worked in retail and i feel like i have so much more to learn to be successful and an internship would be one of my best options.

Majors: Getting into The Business management program is not hard. I use to be a biology major and then i realized that it wasn't for me and i felt like i would most likely enjoy the business filed better so i went for it and i am really liking it so far.

Local Atmosphere: I think that the atmosphere in Buffalo is pretty boring compared to my home town which is New York City. There is not much to do, there is not a lot of things to do to have fun and the students would need a car most of the time to go out to a place they like because there is nothing interesting in the area around campus. Also the mall is pretty far from campus.

2 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Buffalo State does not help a lot in finding off campus housing, most students do their own research. there are usually some apartments not too far from campus but they are not really comfortable.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: So far i cannot complain at about the classes I've taken or the teachers I've had. Of course there will be classes harder than others and teachers striker and less helpful than others but I think that each student can manage to pass their classes because help is offered out of class by the teacher or by other people in the same department.

Overall Experience: I think that value of a degree from Buffalo State is average or maybe just little above average. I've been to the career center a couple of times and i feel like they are not good enough. The very first adviser that i had on campus was not helpful at all and made me feel like i am annoying him or wasting his time. I think that there is not really a way to maintain a bond with someone at school who would monitor our progress and be able to give us a letter of recommendation later on.

4 College Junior

Diversity: One thing I really love about Buffalo state College is that it is really diverse and diversity is always very important in any place because each person gets to know more about other backgrounds, culture, language. It keeps everybody alive and interested in what others know. At buffalo state, the students do not minimize people of a certain sexual orientation, everybody is equal and we all have fun together.

2 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: I don't really go off campus to eat because I am trying to save money but I've been to a few places including an Indian restaurant (it was my first time trying Indian food) and i can say that i had a good experience at those places. There is a wider variety of food than on campus but it would probably be harder for a vegetarians to find what they like. I would eat off campus more often if i had the opportunities.

2 College Junior

Scholarships: I feel like Buffalo State does not help the students at all financially. Some students like me are struggling to pay for our tuition and our books but the school does not help at all and is quick to quick you out or put holds on your account before trying to work things out. the school does not offer enough financial aid and i feel like the distribution of the money is definitely unequal because i have some friends who have had enough aid to cover their tuition and buy their books while other students like myself can't even afford to buy all our books. Also i do not feel like the school motivates intelligent students to do better; i think that each student with at least a 3.6 GPA should receive some scholarships to encourage them even if it's not too much.

3 College Junior

Athletics: The varsity sports are very important at Buffalo State however I do not feel like they receive the support that they need because not a lot of students pay attention to them or go to their games/events. A lot of good amount of students including myself actually enjoy the intramural sports on campus. last semester i played rugby and i really liked it. this semester coming up i would like to do yoga and volleyball.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: I don't really know much about the Greek life on campus but I've heard a couple of stuff about them. Some of the stuff I've heard include that some fraternities really dislike each other and sometimes go as far as fighting, however there is a movement going on right now with the aim of reconciling them. They do throw a lot of parties; I've only been to two and i think it was okay, it could have been better. I also think that they can be very arrogant sometimes.

2 College Junior

Campus Dining: I personally feel like the options at the dinning hall are very limited and most of the time we end up eating the same things over and over again therefore we get tired of the food towards the middle of the semester. A lot of other students feel the same about the type of food served on campus. also there is not a lot of options for vegetarians and there is more access to unhealthy/fat food then good/healthy food.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: One of the campus strictness at Buffalo State is the prohibition of using a router because it make the internet slower for other students. The WiFi in the dorms really suck and I personally think that if they don't want the students to use a router then they should take appropriate actions to facilitate the access to the internet in each dorm.
