Guys & Girls: Dress is typical of any college, definitely not conservative. Social life typically involves the party night life, and it is the majority of the social aspect on campus. Relationships are typical of the hook-up type, rather than committed relationships.

Guys & Girls: It's alright, I've seen maybe one or two eye-poppers the whole year. But that doesn't matter if you are looking for an intelligent sensible boy/girl friend here.

Guys & Girls: when the sun comes out during spring you can see alot of attractive people on campus. since its usually cold people bundle up and care more about being warm to class than looks. if you go out for the weekends though alot of people dress up and look great

Students seem to agree that no matter what your scene, you should be able to find a fair share of attractive people. Binghamton students may lack supermodel-caliber looks, but they more than make up for it with personality, as many describe the people around campus as friendly and approachable.

Binghamton students are looking for anything from a one-night stand, a fling, or a long-term relationship, and there are always people looking for the same thing that you are. The guy-to-girl ratio at Binghamton is rather even, so there isn't any need to worry about not finding what you're looking for.

Social Scene
There are many clubs and organizations on campus, and it is very easy to meet people if you get involved in some of them. Whether you are into science, theater, art, politics, or writing, you can find people with similar interests. And when you go out at night, you can meet an even more diverse group of people. Some people complain that a snobby Greek scene can crowd the dining halls during the day and the libraries at night, but for the most part, the focused and goal-driven students at Binghamton are willing to stop and make some friends along the way.
Hookups or Relationships?
At Binghamton, you will find people who prefer both. There are many who come in to the school already in a relationship, and there are even more that enter long-term relationships while in college. There are also those who are not in relationships, and the fraternity parties and bars make for a swinging singles scene.
Dress Code
Students wear whatever makes them feel comfortable. For some, that means pajama pants and sweatshirts; for others, button-down shirts and khakis. Designer clothes abound; those sweatpants are probably $40 at Donna Karan, but nobody will think less of you and your two-for-five-dollar Fruit of the Loom pair. There are no real stereotypes at Binghamton. That kid with the green hair and torn-up jeans is just as likely to be in organic chemistry as theater.
