Overall Experience: First let me say being at Strayer has been a learning experience good, bad and other. Good because it has gotten me started with my education and I have met some wonderful people and instructors. Bad because they have a few hiccups with not getting back to you in a timely fashion at times also, was given 3 different times my financial aid should come through which was not acceptable and also I don't think they have enough staff who understands if your going to be open to adult teaching then maybe hire staff that understands how adults understand and process things. Other because I said if I had to do it all over again not sure if I would choose this school only because after attending this school I now see and hear of opportunities that seem like they may be a better fit. But all and all I am learning as I go through this process and it has been an eventful journey.

Campus Resources: We have an LRC room (i.e. like a library) by it being a small campus there is only one but it is put together well, we just need more LRC staff that can help students with questions (i.e. computer, apa etc.)

Campus Resources: We only have one LRC/computer lab so depends on what time one comes whether or not you have availability

Career Services: Not sure of the post-grad services at my school

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition I feel could be a little cheaper, and also wish it would come through quicker not weeks later after the semester starts because it causes me to have to go into personal funds to buy supplies for school. Also, I wish they would offer more scholarships so some of the cost could be deferred. Tips I would suggest is that you reach outside to find other ways to access funds in terms of grants and scholarships. One of my customers is a professor at another college and she was the one who gave me this information on this scholarship opportunity.

Academic Flexibility: My only complaint with scheduling has been with this semester coming up my class is on Thursday night and with me owning a Salon Thursday is a busy day for me so I am having to change my schedule around because its important to me to achieve my goal with obtaining my Bachelors degree, so sometimes one has to sacrifice.

Student Body: Student body seems to be nice and involved with students. They are also open to people with challenges I had a student in my class that was visually impaired and the teacher made sure he was engaged and comfortable, I feel that was a big plus

Facilities: Its good as a whole I just wish we had more then one break room, makes it inconvenient when all classes let out at the same time for a break and its overcrowded because we only have one.

Academic Experience: My major is Bus Management I think being a business owner for 21 years has helped me to handle the workload and curriculum and hopefully will afford me an opportunity to a new career. I plan on inquiring more about job opportunities this semester since this is my 3rd semester at school and hopefully will go further then just sending me to a job fair.

Academic Experience: Academics offered at Strayer are great and the professors are as well and helpful the only negative comment regarding instructors would be teachers in which english is not their native language can sometimes pose difficulty in understanding them in class. Registration process was ok, starting school as an adult sometimes it can feel like to much to fast, but since they don't mind you contacting them with questions I say take advantage of the phone, get your questions answered. LRC lab just another term for in school library thats great! especially if your personal computer crashes.

Overall Experience: The school is great. It certainly allows me to attend during off peak hours. However, the tuition is very high and the financial aide runs out before you finish the program. That demands that an out of pocket payment every semester that I do not have.

Online Courses: I had the opportunity to take a mathematical statistics course at this school. It passed this class with an "A". I was impressed by the learning assistance, and tech support that have available for the ALEKS program.

Academic Flexibility: The classes are designed for working adults. The assignments are a bit tedious, but the knowledge received is worthwhile. I have transferred credits to this school without any hassles.

Career Services: we do not have career services that lead to jobs. They do have resume building and interview techniques in place though.

Campus Resources: Our campus can use an upgrade with the computers. The network is usually slow and freezes.

2 Recent Alumnus

Campus Resources: The network freezes quite often. The school just upgraded to Wi-fi. There are still glitches in that system.

Facilities: Our study area is not the best. Sometimes it can be a little noisy.

Student Body: I think we have a strong student body. They speak up for the students status at every town hall meeting.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is very expensive. I do not qualify for full financial aide. I always have a shortfall that I do not have to supply.

Overall Experience: The best experience at Strayer University campus life is the fact that they have really awesome professors that are very educated and offer life experience that they can bring to the table. These professors go the extra mile to make sure that the course information is understood and that we would have a very positive learning experience.

Facilities: I really enjoy the campus life. Actually going to class twice a week and meeting with the professor and students. The discussions are great. Everyone usually takes part in the class discussing which makes it very interesting. Mostly everyone has a unique background that is usually discussed in class making it more personal and a deeper feel for life experience. That is why diversity on campus is great.

Academic Experience: There are large amount of jobs in Business Management. In a traditional setting most of the course information is discussed in classes. Assignments are given according to the curriculum. If information is not understood correctly in the curriculum then were go over that information in the class which makes it better so we do not have to email the professor like the online students do and then wait however long it takes for a response. That is the great advantage of a campus class.

Academic Experience: Tutoring is a great resource on campus. Most of the classes at Strayer offer tutoring on campus. The professor are great and very informative.
