4 College Sophomore

Athletics: The athletic community is great for everyone.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: I didn't attend a lot of football games but i did attend a few basketball games and the basketball games are normally packed I'm not completely sure about the turnout for the football game. The biggest sport here is the mens varsity lacrosse team

3 College Senior

Athletics: The gym is nice and all the sports players seem to really enjoy what they do.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: We are D3 but we tend to take pride in our sports and not just anyone can play a sport on campus.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: We only have division three sports teams and our football team is brand new. The only team that gets attention is lacrosse, who just won nationals this year. The gyms (there are three) are great for athletes and normal people like myself with lots of cardio machines and strength training stuff.

Varsity sports at Stevenson University are starting to become popular. Students are beginning to follow the progress of the men's lacrosse team, as well as the men's basketball team, as they have been doing very well recently. There is also a spirit group that attends sporting events in order to get the crowd more involved. Intramural sports are becoming more popular on campus too, with many new options from volleyball to basketball to dodgeball. Anyone can sign up for intramurals in the Student Union.

Overall, varsity sports are not extremely strong or diverse at Stevenson University. However, like everything on campus, the programs are growing. There are plans in the works for new athletic facilities in Owings Mills and even a football team, which will be a first in Stevenson University history. In addition to opportunities for athletes, there are many opportunities for students who want to watch the games. There are often shuttle services for students who want to go to area away games to support the school's teams. There are also fun athletic events throughout the year, the most of which is the Student versus Faculty basketball game. A close second for popular athletic event is the annual Powder Puff game, which gets bigger every year. There are also smaller clubs on campus, like Ultimate Frisbee Club, which play in a less formal setting.

School Spirit
School spirit is not particularly strong or vocal, except with the freshman class and people who are extremely active on campus. Many students were opposed to the recent name change and have not developed pride for the new identity. However, most students are proud of their school, attending campus-wide events and wearing University apparel on school-sponsored off-campus trips.
Getting Tickets
Most games are free to students, so they don't require tickets. NCAA games are ticketed, but they only cost about $3 for students. Tickets are easy to obtain.
