4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: A lot of students eventually choose to live off campus after the first two years there or they generally stay on campus.

Overall Experience: The main reason why I pick Stevenson is because I like how the class sizes are very small and like how some of the professors actually know there students name and they have very flexible office hours.

Campus Housing: Some of the upperclassman did not have the opportunity to live in the apartments.

Guys & Girls: They both seem pretty friendly to me. I have yet to started but from what I've seen everyone seems pretty friendly. I just hope there are some attractive guys on campus. :)

Campus Dining: Have a different selection of food in the Owings mills campus...like some night are past, sushi, etc

Scholarships: It sucks that I did not receive that much financial aid as I wanted too. So i'm just waiting on what kind of loans that I can be accepted for as well as signing of for any scholarship I can since private school is not cheap. Other than that financial aid office has been very friendly with me over the phone.

Diversity: When I went on my tour and mustang day I saw that it was a very diverse school. I was kind of nervous when I heard it was an all white school because all of my schools that I have attended have been very diverse and have been accepted everyone. Seems like a very friendly campus staff and students seem very welcoming to new students as well as transfer students. I have yet to run in anyone who has an attitude.

Local Atmosphere: Stevenson students and families take pride in the sports at this campus. Even in high school I would hear a lot about the men's lax team especially now since one of my co workers is a lax player and he has Stevenson as one of his tops schools to transfer too.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are a lot of off campus dinning especially around the Owings mills campus. Most of the restaurants that are close to campus take flex dollars.

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: I heard that night life was okay it can get boring and if it does some people go to other campuses around.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: They offer free tutoring. I hear the professors like to work with there students since Stevenson is a smaller school the teachers have the opportunity to know the students names unlike some colleges.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: I have heard that psychology was a very good major for Stevenson. I have yet to taken a class yet, but have heard that the psychology classes are very interesting to learn about

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I haven't attend Stevenson yet, but I have heard nothing but positive things about this campus. I can't wait to finally start at a school that is not a community college and can actually get the real college experience.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: The people here seem very friendly and out going

4 College Junior

Diversity: There is a mixture of many different kinds of people. The student body is predominantly white with a good amount of minorities as well.

College Junior

Majors: I haven't taken any classes here yet, but the curriculum for my psychology major looks very interesting and challenging

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: Housing is very expensive, but worth it since all the dorms are spacious and new. Recently there was a problem with the upcoming junior class because most of them are back in sophomore housing again due to no more upperclassmen apartments being available.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: I think there is only one female sorority. There is no special housing for them

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: There a few hookah lounges and night clubs around.

College Junior

Overall Experience: Have not attended a class here yet.

Stevenson University offers students a great experience, both academically and personally. However cliché it may sound, the school really is like a big family. The teachers develop close bonds with their students that just cannot be found at other schools. Even though the school is growing in leaps and bounds, the closeness of the school will never be gone because the administration actually cares about students' futures. There is a good reason this school is the most up-and-coming University in the state of Maryland: the people are great.

Stevenson University offers students an opportunity to grow. However, it is important to note that the University gives students back only what the students put in. It is possible to attend Stevenson University, do "just enough" to graduate, and get a job. It is possible to try "just enough," and just be another student in a desk. However, students like this usually drop out in the first year. Why? This University is designed for people who want to push themselves and help push each other to succeed. "Just enough" isn't good enough for most who attend here. Students join societies and clubs, stand up for their beliefs and passions, dedicate their time to learning outside of the classroom, and earn the University the reputation it proudly holds today.
