College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: If you can get off-campus housing (and you can afford it), it's pretty great. The apartments in Hoboken are pretty good, although they're really expensive and it's difficult to get off-campus housing, especially as a freshman. Normally you need to know someone or be willing to spend a lot of money to get good housing off-campus.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: It's pricey depending where you go or what avenue you go through. There is off-campus housing through the school but that can be more pricey depending on where you look. It can also be really far away through the school.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: Off campus housing is more often than not better than on campus. However they are usually further and more expensive.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: The area is a little pricey, given that it is so close to New York City, however, off-campus housing is much less expensive than the alternative.

3 College Student

Off-Campus Housing: There are several options in Stevens off-campus housing; however, they are expensive. Despite the price, the apartments are really nice, and are spacious. Keep in mind, the Housing Office is starting to crack on the "no-furniture" rule, i.e. you can't bring in your own furniture.
There is a shuttle that takes a route from off-campus housing to campus and vice versa basically all during the day and into the night.
