5 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Hoboken is a great city. It's really expensive, so if you want to live here or do anything, you have to be willing to spend a lot of money. With the city so close, Hoboken as a city isn't very boring.

5 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: The city of Hoboken has to be one of the greatest cities on the east coast. It's proximity to New York City is amazing. It is only a five minute subway ride to New York, as well as Jersey City. There is plenty to do in Hoboken alone as well, including; shopping, festivals, restaurants, and numerous parks. The view of New York across the Hudson River is the best there is. Students are certainly assimilated into the city. They become much like the rest of it's inhabitants. However, at the same time the campus feels as if it is it's own small town.

5 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Hoboken is amazing and so close to the city. If you are under 21 there isn't that much off campus to do for a night life. But there is plenty of shopping and food that you can experience.

3 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: I enjoy the exclusiveness of Stevens. It's like its own little town. But if you want to go out and some fun Hoboken usually has that and there's Manhattan right across the river.

5 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: Hoboken is a lovely town itself, and its big brother New York City compares to nothing else. Hoboken has a very good food scene, good shopping, and hold events regularly, especially in the summer. Campus often had trips into the city for shows and other things as well. No need for a car to do something fun, public transportation is perfect.
