Campus Resources: We don't have an athletic center, but student center is very helpful and awesome. You have your space, or if you need help other students in your class or different field are willing to help you if they can. Libraries have computer, and book access that is very convienent for us here on our campus. Campus activities are very fun and joyful, and the staff makes everyone feel welcome and make us feel like all good close friends and a big family.

Academic Flexibility: The experience at this school is was superb, and awesome. Staff, tutors, instructors, and also deans are all here for us to help us with class work, essays, etc. They are way understandable that we all have lifes, and that they will do what they can do to help us not fail class! Also they are flexible with the work if we communicate with our instructor and let him/her know what is going on.I've went to a different college for a semester and they just come and teach and leave us with homework and leave us on our own. Steven's Henager is more convienent for me in all ways! They make me feel welcome and care about me to succeed.

Online Courses: My on-line classes don't start til next module, so techanically i do not have a legit grade for that! But I have been told that people say it's awesome and teachers and instructors, etc. were awesome and helpful when needed assistance.

Campus Resources: I like having the ability to use the computers in the computer lab. They were useful when I did not have my own computer and now I have my own computer, the wireless is fast and easy to access.

Academic Experience: I like the way the classes are set up, from the 4 week course to the way the grades are done. It is all provided to us at the beginning of the module so we know what we expect for our grade.

The work load varies on the class that is being taken. Some classes require more than others and it is nice to balance the heavy workload with the light.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid process was an easy one. It did not require much on my part and I was able to hear back quickly what I qualified for.

I find it extremely useful I don't have to begin paying the loans back until after I graduate. This gives me time to apply for scholarships to reduce my out of pocket expenses.

Career Services: This is the best college. They are very accommodating and wonderful! I have managed to switch from on Campus to online in a simple process. It's amazing.

College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Not sure yet on major just because I am just barely starting out.

Campus Resources: The staff at this school has been some of the best that I have dealt with for a school.

Online Courses: This is the same response as previous not much experience due to just starting classes.

Campus Resources: To be completely honest I have just started with Stevens-Henager so I have not had the chance to use the campus resources or the computer network. So I am not able to tell you if they are reliable at this time.

Tuition & Financial Aid: When I went for my consultation, I did not know what I was doing. My recruiter and financial planner where very helpful. My financial planner helped me fill out all the paperwork and helped get it submitted. They are wonderful people.

Academic Experience: I currently work a full time job, own a in home business, attending school, trying to socialize and help with my grandkids.

Student Body: As part of being an online student, each class we have an introduction we complete. I have noticed a very diverse group of ages, ethnicity, education levels and potential career goals. The individuals social difference, make for good discussion on how to manage time with school and family or with work, etc.

Online Courses: I love the online courses. It is very convenient for me to either attend a live session or view a recording later. I still feel I have plenty of work to enhance my college experience and to make it beneficial to my career.

Academic Flexibility: It was frustrating to not have any of my previous credits transfer to them, however; I do understand some were older and didn't fit into the curriculum I am currently accomplishing.

Career Services: Stevens-Henager has to be one of the best colleges I've ever seen or heard about for post-grads. The career center has LOADS of information and there is a computer kiosk for looking for jobs located in the "student lobby" area on the second floor.

Stevens-Henager's top-priority is finding their students jobs very quickly after graduating. Job prospects are very high--just follow the rules of professionalism and you'll be fine! (Meaning, dress like you are entering the job field, practice good hygiene, come to class on-time and attend every class.) Alumni are advised to come back in and take classes for free after they graduated to stay updated in their field! Mandated courses in each program are learning about networking and getting a network set up so that everybody has people who can "get them in the door", so to speak.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Everything is explained very thoroughly up-front: the types of loans available and how they work (they will help you to fill out the FAFSA and apply for Stafford loans and Pell grants), as well as explanations of when you are expected to begin paying them back. My educational experience so far has been worth every cent.

Some tips I have learned about financial aid:

1) Getting scholarships can help you greatly reduce your loan payments! Don't wait until you've graduated, you can pay off your loans while you're going to school with scholarship or budgeted job money!

2) If you are having trouble looking for a job while you go to school, don't hesitate to talk to the advisors at your school! They should have all kinds of resources to help you find work and know of places that are hiring!

3) PLEASE, FILL OUT A FAFSA! YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY. This federal grant does not require any repayment and will be invaluable to you!

The reason I give S-H an "A-" and not an "A" in this case, is only because it was a minor hassle transferring from the Associate's Graphic Arts program to the Bachelor's Web Design and Development degree. Nothing too bad, but it is a bit annoying to have to wait and see what needs to be re-applied for again (if anything needs to be redone).

Academic Experience: I have never learned so much in such a short amount of time. The atmosphere is amazing. The tutoring cafe is wonderful. I really feel like I am getting a firm grasp on my trade.

Many students at SHU say they would choose their college again if they had to do it all over. There's a good reason for this decision: SHC offers great education and great student incentives. Once you graduate, it's free to return to SHC and take additional classes or retake a class as a memory refresher. Also, if you have younger siblings, they can get a scholarship to attend SHC after you graduate. Stevens-Henager College has encouraging staff members, great students, and many opportunities beyond these student incentives. You can gain licensure and certification in a variety of fields and earn scholarships. This makes it one of the best colleges to attend in the Boise area.
