Weather: The weather is typically great but a lot of days we have rain and wind which effects how I get to school personally because I ride my bike. But overall the weather is fine and I enjoy the sunshine when it is there!

3 College Junior

Nightlife: The good thing about this is Driving Jacks which is a free service to students of any age on Thursday through Sunday nights who need a ride back to their dorm or home. There are only a couple clubs and bars around and I've only been to one of them which is also a dance hall which was fun.

Parking: I don't have a parking pass because I live close enough to bike or walk every day but the passes cost $133 and I've heard that parking fills up quickly. The commuter lot is usually the way to go, I think. They also give out tickets a lot if I'm not mistaken. But personally I enjoy biking to school and not having to worry about the cost and hastle of driving and finding a spot.

Academics: I think there are a large amount of majors available at SFA including, business, sciences, forestry (one of the best in the country), education (including deaf and blind), hospitality and other human sciences, math, political science and so many more!

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: I don't have a meal plan but there are 2 dining halls on campus as well as sushi, chick-fil-a, pizza, smoothies, and starbucks available for students.

3 College Junior

Diversity: There is a lot of diversity on campus in almost every aspect. There are a lot of religious groups and ethnic groups to get involved in.

4 College Junior

Transportation: For any commuting students, there is a shuttle that runs every day from 8 am to 5 pm for students needing to get to different areas of campus. We also have something called Driving Jacks that is kind of like a taxi service for students, free of charge on Thursday through Sunday nights from 10 pm to 3 am so there are no drunk driving incidents.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: I'm not into the Greek atmosphere so I don't know any of the process or getting into a sorority or fraternity.

Overall Experience: My school has such a beautiful campus and a lot of outdoor opportunities such as parks, a lake, intramural sports and beautiful weather. Although it's in a small town, there are things to do if you look for them. This town may seem boring to some people but for me, there is plenty to do because I love being outdoors.

Campus Housing: I don't personally live on campus because I transferrred in as a junior and was able to live off-campus but I have friends who do live on campus. They tell me that the dorms are rather old but no huge complaints about the quality of living. The spaces are small but I think that is just the way dorm life is at any college or university.

3 College Junior

Athletics: Football isn't too big at my school but this year the basketball team did absolutely incredible and was the talk of the campus! School spirit was raised and more students became more involved and excited about our university.

2 College Junior

Scholarships: Although I pay for school on my own, I didn't recieve any financial aid from my school or help in finding scholarships for transfer students. I wish they were more helpful in finding scholarships specific to students.

4 College Junior

Majors: The Hospitality program at SFA is great! As far as a career goes, I don't know what I would like to do yet, but I'd love to travel and spend time with people. I don't really have a concern about eventually finding a job in this field because the jobs are so abundant and diverse.

4 College Junior

Majors: I transferred to SFA for hospitality and didn't have any problems getting in. Almost all of my credits from my previous university transferred and counted for my education and didn't put me behind at all! The professors and faculty have been so helping in making sure I graduate when I want to and need to. The only tip I would have would be to talk to financial aid way in advance to making any payments for your education.

Health & Safety: Our school has their own police on campus, so if there is a real lockdown, they are on call ready to go.

Drug Safety: There is not really a drug scene. If anything, you'll see a student smoking a cigarette in their car as we leave the school.

Local Atmosphere: The local atmosphere is like any other small town, friendly people and a sceneic route. There is always things to do in the area, but shopping is very limited.

3 College Freshman

Parking: The permit cost is a little pricey, but that's at any school. Police are ALWAYS on the prowl, so make sure that you follow all the rules. There are usually o.k parking sport, but everything is usually within good walking distance if you can find a close one.

3 College Freshman

Majors: i enjoy the Criminal Justice program at Sfa. We have some of the best Teachers, and they are willing to help you at any time. The Workload ist rigurous, but you do have to study.

Majors: so far i havent had any internships.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: Don't stay on campus so I really don't know.

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Nacogdoches is a small town so there is not really much to do here.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: A lot of local restaurants located themselves around the campus most within walking distance. Most offer small student discounts. My favorite is raising canes!

3 College Junior

Greek Life: Never really bothered to learn about it.

3 College Junior

Athletics: I work full time apart from attending school so I never really get to attend any sporting events.
