Academic Flexibility: On site registering is a very painful process. In-person communications is the best way to get anything done. E-mail communication is decent. The online class system, however, is not something that I would use again. Many crashes, assignments and/or emails not submitting, and the lack of any navigational ease make the system in need of an overhaul.

Student Body: Everyone is easily accessible and listen to the students

Career Services: When I went to forensics conference three weeks ago at Myrtle Beach, my advisor introduced me to SCC CCT alumni. Many of them have been successful in finding jobs as cyber security consultants or digital forensics analysts and pursuing their four year degree. My advisor is setting up a mentor program this fall for the cyber crime technology students.

My advisor is a masterful networker and many alumni have thanked him for his involvement in their professional careers.

Academic Experience: Academic Experience at Stanly Community College has been a positive one. All my classes are on Moodle and it's easy to navigate through. The professors are far the best I've ever dealt with in my academic career. I feel that I'm getting the most out of my classes at SCC. Some assignments really push me to think outside of box and others help me unlock the inner hidden genius in me. Sometimes I call up my fascinating advisor for motivation and inspiration because he's a guru in the cybercrime field and he believes in my success.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Financial aid at SCC is a breeze. The representatives will go out of their way to ensure your eligibility for financial aid. I'm in constant contact with the FA office at SCC. They update your FA status via Webadvisor 24/7!

Academic Experience: I'm a Cyber Crime Technology major at Stanly Community College. My courses are a 100% online. The professors are the best of the best in their fields. My advisor is awesome and I talk to him over the phone or via email on a weekly basis. The financial aid staffers are always very helpful. Whenever you have any issue with Moodle, the SCC tech support solves it promptly. If you have trouble with a particular class, you could request a tutor via online, email or fax. The tutoring staff will get someone as quickly as possible to help you out. Overall, SCC cares about its students, including the business office.

Once a year the Cyber Crime Technology department organizes a trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to attend the Techno Security & Forensics Investigations & Mobile Forensics World. It's the biggest conference on cybercrime in the world. As SCC CCT students, we are able to attend this event free as VIPs! In fact, I was there about three weeks ago! I met up with my CCT advisor, classmates, alumni, and guest. We all went together as a group to the conference. It was very inspirational and motivating to my academic experience to meet real professionals in the field of cybercrime in personal and attending real world lectures. After the conference, I had a better understanding of cybercrime and the direction I want to take after graduation.

Campus Resources: We have a resource lab it's okay, we have to pay to print out pages so it's a little inconvienant because it only takes nickles.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: Although our resources are good I usually don't have the time to go to them, and I am on an opposite campus from the main one, so its smaller also.

Online Courses: Online courses are usually either more diffcult or easier than seated classes, depends on the course and what teacher you have also. The toughest class I've had online is psychology, I took a whole semester online once, it was okay I just prefer seated because I like interaction.

Online Courses: All online course in my experiences are challenging and interesting. Online courses helped me improve in technology greatly. Also, attendance are not strict as long as students complete and turn in their homework on time. Online courses are great for students who loves technology.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Stanly Community College is well-prepared in everything. The college textbooks, materials, and education is free. This is what every education should look like to make everyone successful. The teachers and students all work hard to make our school a big success. After all, hard work do pay off!

Campus Resources: The facilities on campus are great! Students who attends Stanly Early College have access to free college textbooks and all their college classes are free. No financial aid is needed because the program has fund to support the students to make them successful in life. Also, the guidance counselor with the dean of instructor at Stanly Early College work together to provide as much resources like college textbooks to students who are receiving free college education so they can maintain an associates of arts in their senior year of high school.

Student Body: At Stanly Community College, the student body in Student Council are all hardworking students always trying to raise money for prom, hope for breast cancer patients, donating blood to the needed, and etc. Students would set-up a car wash, sell treats, and host parties to raise more money for our school. Because Stanly Community College has many connections through the students, we were able to be successful. In the past few years, Stanly Community College has raised over $5000-$10,000 to hope for breast cancer patients and school prom.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: Everyone seems to care howyou are doing and want to help

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: Everthing is easy to access and all staff are eager to help

3 College Junior

Career Services: Nobody really keeps up with the alumni, but when people get degrees to go directly into the work force they generally do well.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: The teachers are fantastic, and normally take time to become involved with the students. They are always available to answer questions, and have no problem meeting after class to explain things.

2 College Junior

Campus Resources: There aren't really that many unique things here. There are some clubs and academic resources, but they are pretty average.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: Our computer labs are very up-to-date, and the technology teachers are very knowledgeable about their area of expertise. There is always someone available to help in the event of a technology issue. We do have problems occasionally, especially when we get new equipment or network software.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: I'm in business and administration, and so far everything is as I should expect. The classes are very simple, and the teachers are very knowledgeable. The workload is relatively light.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: There is a student resource center, a library, and computer labs, but there are no gyms. All we have are soccer fields and a volleyball court.

3 Recent Alumnus

Student Body: With it being a 2 year college, there was a large variety of people who attended. They were friendly and had different perspectives and experiences from their lives.

2 Recent Alumnus

Career Services: With it being a community college, it didn't have as many choices or as large a network for future careers and such.

4 Recent Alumnus

Academic Flexibility: I chose this school because I knew I could get a two year degree and then transfer into North Carolina State. It was cheaper to do this, and I also think that it will help me prepare for a four year university. I'll be finished this semester and overall, it was a good school for transferring out of.
