3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: It is very easy to get a house off campus. The are relatively cheap. Some are not in the best of conditions though.

2 College Freshman

Campus Dining: There are options but I am a picky eater so it is not very easy for me to have variety.

3 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: There is a lot to do but the police are very in your face. They suspect you are doing something wrong at all times.

2 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: On campus it is very strict about alcohol policies and drug policies.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: The financial aid office is very generous. They are always ready to help and not let money stop us from getting our education.

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: It is not that bad. Just don't hang around bad friends. If you get caught , then you get suspended or expelled.

4 College Freshman

Campus Dining: It is not that bad. No school dining is perfect. Be grateful..

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: St. Bonaventure University is very safe and the security office is opened 24/7. They can also pick you from where ever you are, if you are scared to walk alone.

1 College Freshman

Campus Dining: Sucks the hickey makes me sick everytime i eat there

5 College Freshman

Nightlife: There is usually a party to go to on the weekend at the houses.

4 College Freshman

Majors: The majors are good, as well as the teachers, JMC is a big major here

4 Recent Alumnus

Local Atmosphere: Kind of a rural area with not a lot of action off campus.

3 Recent Alumnus

Guys & Girls: I think its a normal group of college kids doing things college kids do. Having fun is our main goal...lots of frisbee and sports out in the yards

Scholarships: I feel Bonaventure was generous with financial aid, but i heard its just the first year. My parents are worried about next year. I still need 3800 for this, Im worried I wont be able to register for next year.

3 Recent Alumnus

Campus Strictness: The rules are quite strick, no drinking or drugs..no smoking of any kind. I respect the rules therefore I dont have any problems, I know the police really enforce the rules off campus. Once the rules have been broken 3 times you are in jeopardy of losing your campus housing.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: I'm a theology major which is one of the smallest majors in the school but it is a lot like most other majors when it comes to workload and that kind of stuff. The workload is very managable and it's easy to do well with effort. The Clare courses (Bonaventure's version on general education) are horrible but many of them cross list with other courses hich are much better. The alumni network is also very strong and many people get jobs after graduation. The only downside is the main building where most classes take place (Plassman Hall) is a horrible building.

3 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: There are some pretty cute guys and girls here its just not the majority. Every person you see isn't overly attractive but there are def some really good looking guys and girls here there just not everywhere you look.

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: St. Bonaventure has a very friendly atmosphere. Everyone holds doors for each other and is nice to pretty much everyone. In the winter time there is sick basketball games to go to, there intense because bonas has so much school spirit/ pride!

Overall Experience: I love St. Bonaventure. It is a small, homey school with so many friendly and smart people. If you're totally into only studying and no partying at all that is always okay here. Generally most people party thursday, sat., sun. but its okay if you don't. Everyones very accepting of everyone and their preferences. Everyones friends and this is a place where you really can feel like home.

Health & Safety: I generally always feel safe on campus except walking back to my dorm at night alone which I almost never do. The campus is small so it generally takes 5 minutes to get from place to place unless you're an upper clansmen and live in the garden apartments or townhouses. If you don't want to walk home alone from someplace on campus you can always call security and have them pick you up and take you home. Generally you should keep your doors locked just because you never know but everyone knows each other so nobody is gonna try and steal from your room. The RA's will walk around on the weekends until 2 or so, watch out for open containers of alcohol because they will write you up for it but usually as long as you're careful about hiding it you're fine.

Facilities: Overall Very Nice – We don't have all of the newest technology, but the layouts are logical and there's still a lot of great features.

2 College Sophomore

Transportation: Need More – There's only one bus and it only stops at a few places. Adding stops/another bus would be great.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: Average WNY – The weather is either really nice or really terrible. When it snows, classes don't get cancelled and there's no way to get from one building to another without going outside.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Very Good – The financial aid department was very helpful, but it still took a while to get everything squared away.

4 College Junior

Majors: Numerous Choices – The education major is highly rated and the opportunity is there to remain on campus to obtain a masters in a variety of programs.
