1 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Besides the fact that there isn't much around here but fast food restaurants, the people that work there are very rude and the location isn't all that great either.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: It's very limited in the AUC.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Delivery places stay open really late for students, understanding that college students do not always go to bed before 11pm. Vegetarian restaurants are poor in variety, but are easy to find because its becoming a popular lifestyle.

2 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: I suggest take-out. The only off-campus dining we really have is Popeyes, Churches, and Papa Johns. They need to step it up

Dining off campus seems to be the way to go for many Spelman women. With dining halls offering limited choices and hours, students generally choose to make the voyage to their favorite restaurants. There seem to be quite a few places to get a quick bite to eat near the campus, but for sit-down dining, students have to go farther away from campus. Soul food is a general favorite among the student body, and there is no shortage of places to find it in Atlanta. Students also seem to gravitate toward pizza joints. Almost every student mentioned Slice or Fellini's as the best place to pick up a snack at almost all hours of the day and night. For students who want a little more menu variety after midnight, City Café, Landmark Diner, and R. Thomas are all open 24 hours a day. Atlanta provides a wide variety of restaurants with entrees that are sure to please even the most discriminating taste buds. The biggest issue for students would be finding the transportation to get there. It would probably be helpful if there were more options closer to campus. However, students, led primarily by a craving for better tasting food, use public transportation and cars to get to a place that is more pleasing than what they would find on campus. From the most daring of diners to the most discriminating, Atlanta has room at the table for everyone.
