3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: You would never know unless you lived on campus and even then it's not extremely common.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: There is a wide diversity on campus, as a mater of fact the minorities and slightly different are more accepted than the typical whie teenager.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Day tme: safe. There are strangers and homeless through out campus due to being intertwined with down town, but security watches out for us and not much happens during the day.

Night time: not safe. The parking lot is not close enough to the dorms, the security office and emergency stations are no where near dorms or dorm parking.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: The acedimics are strict, they stick with their rules. The visitations and smoking have rules but are lenient.

2 College Sophomore

Nightlife: On campus there is no night life, off campus there are bars and clubs, but that only benefits you if you are 21+

College Sophomore

Academics: I am not in my major yet.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Campus is in the heart of down town, but most dining options are sit down restaurants, bars, pizza, and few fast food places. The cost is average to expensive, but the commute is ideal (walking distance for most)

4 College Sophomore

Weather: Classes are almost never canceled unless there is ice on the roads.

4 College Sophomore

Computers: We have multiple computer labs available on campus along with WEPA printing stations through out campus where we get $5.00 put on our account curtosy of the school when we first arrive as freshman. Each black and white pages costs $00.08

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: There are TARC buses and taxi services that run all through town, I have never used one though.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: The school it's self does not offer assistance in finding off campus housing, most students live at home but for students like me who's parents live out of state I must have other housing arrangements. Costs are expensive and almost impossible for a full time student with one or multiple part time jobs. It is possible to find inexpensive housing but with that you must either give up saftey, travel a further distance or have a co signer.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I personally did not have a good experience living in the dorms. There were safety issues, the social life was in "clicks", you were only included if you had moved in as a freshman, are on a sports team or in the school of art. Few activities were ever planned to help the residence interact, there were ,any activities during orientation, but that was restricted to incoming freshman only.

College Sophomore

Majors: I have not yet applied to my program, I am beginning the process now. My school has two application periods where only 35 students are accepted each time. All of the criteria is important, we must complete observation hours, gather the proper forms and go through multiple interviewing processes before being notified of our acceptance.

College Sophomore

Majors: I am not yet in my program.

4 College Student

Athletics: A brand new athletic facility and gym was just built and it is fantastic.

4 College Student

Guys & Girls: The guys are very nice, southern and attractive and the girls are typical southern belles.

4 College Student

Computers: Computers are available in multiple places throughout campus, but it is important to bring your own computer also

3 College Student

Scholarships: Scholarships are available, but more scholarships are easier to attain when you are of an ethnic or minority race or background

3 College Student

Campus Housing: Campus housing is extremely close to campus and makes having to walk to class an ease.

3 College Student

Campus Dining: Campus dining is delicious but could always use room for improvement with gathering healthier options for students

4 College Student

Overall Experience: I am currently in the graduate program at Spalding University and it is wonderful. The faculty and staff are very welcoming and have an open door policy. The campus is quaint but very nice and maintained.

3 College Student

Greek Life: The greek life here is small because the school is smaller, but it still exists and is available to those wanting to join an extracurricular group

3 College Student

Diversity: The school is private and has a Catholic affiliation, so the students may seen fairly homogeneous but are definitely not.

4 College Student

Off-Campus Dining: Louisville is known for their incredible food scene, but some of the restaurants located near campus are downtown and those restaurants tend to be more expensive than others due to their location.

4 College Student

Transportation: Spalding is located in the middle of downtown Louisville, KY so at times it may be more difficult to get around due to the traffic.
