1 College Senior

Campus Housing: At this time there is no on campus housing.

1 College Senior

Athletics: We do not really have athletics at my school because med school students do not make time for that.

3 College Senior

Nightlife: The best transportation is using the ightrail in Tempe because it is affordable and no one has to drive drunk!

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: The safety of this campus is impeccable. There has not been any incidents that I am aware of crime or theft. People are very considerate of others and I always feel very safe.

Majors: A typical internship is what I would call a clinical site. As a naturopathic physician I would go to a clinic regularly for a few months and I would shadow and learn from another physician. It would be unpaid but I would learn invaluable information on how to treat patients with different modalities of medicine.

Local Atmosphere: The school is very close to ASU and Phoenix. The city offers the restaurants and night life of any city. For those that love the outdoors, there are many options of hiking and rock climbing. However, the summer heat is brutal and it is difficult to be outside. If you can handle the heat for 4 months, the rest of the year provides wonderful weather to be outside.

5 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: There are no college dorms on site so there is no need to have to security reinforce any laws at "home". As for on campus, there is minimal security as there have not been any issues with people breaking the law.

5 College Student

Drug Safety: Very Healthy Students – Most students are very health conscious and very few use or abuse drugs and alcohol whatsoever.

4 College Student

Computers: Very Available and Equipped – The computer labs are full of the latest types of software and hardware.

4 College Student

Overall Experience: Comfortable and Friendly – This school is filled with caring and compassionate professors and administrators. They are always willing and able to answer your questions and ensure that you are taken care of in every aspect.

5 College Sophomore

Majors: Naturopathic Medicine – If your heart is in natural healing modalities, then this is THE place to be

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: Racial diversity reflects the local population but some groups tend to isolate themselves.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Housing Varies – Apartments range from old, cheap structures to expensive luxes. Housing is readily available to rent or buy in a wide range of prices

4 College Sophomore

Greek Life: No Greeks, Just Clubs – There are no fraternities/sororities, but we have numerous clubs with social, fundraising, community, and professional development opportunities.

4 College Freshman

Majors: Naturopathic Medicine Is Where It Is at. SCNM has a very competitive program, and they are looking for well rounded students who are committed to the principles and the profession of naturopathic medicine. They do not require MCAT scores as a prerequisite for applying, but you do have to have a competitive gpa, and show proficiency in upper level science classes. The admissions staff is wonderful and very personable. When I submitted an inquiry about the school and program, I immediately received a personal email from an admissions counselor ready to answer all the questions I had.

Weather: Always Sunny in Tempe! The weather here is gorgeous and always sunny. You might have to over look the 3 months of above 100 deg temps. But everyone is pretty equipped for such high temperatures, all the classroom thermostats are set on freezing, so you can bask in the warmth and appreciate those +100 deg temps in between classes.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Herbs N Flavors – This restaurant has amazing food! They use local and organic foods to make their delectable creations. They also have gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian options!
