3 College Freshman

Majors: Not many options. Better for arts than sciences or politics

4 College Freshman

Majors: Didn't have my major, but all classes and professors are great. Required courses for majors are well-outlined and straightforward.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: For an LDS based school, I'd give it one bubble. Most students have, will or can obtain alcohol or drugs easily and it's super easy to not get caught

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Plenty of places, nice people, nice places (for the most part), good prices

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The Lofts are really nice, but it's really the only option girls have.

1 College Freshman

Nightlife: SoOoOoOo lame. Get a car, get out of BV.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: I was originally told I'd get almost a full ride, then got about a half-funded scholarship. Scholarships were given out to each student, but Fall 2014 they will stop. It's a really expensive school.

4 College Freshman

Computers: We have a Mac lab, which is great. No computers are ancient, they're all nice.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: Many students aren't LDS, contrary to how it appears. Most football players aren't members, and we have one of every race. Pretty good for a small school

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: No complaints. Never an issue, OPSS will take care of anything.

3 College Freshman

Weather: Either really hot, just right, or freezing. We had a bad winter, but generally I don't think it snows much. In the summer and when it gets warm again, there are a ton of gnats and it drives everyone crazy

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Only places in town are BK and Subway, and Hardees. You can order Dominos and they'll deliver, there's also a chinese and mexican place in town but it's quite a walk. If you don't have a car, you probably won't be eating off-campus much

5 College Freshman

Drug Safety: The honor code is clear on this. It is pretty much grounds for expulsion if you are caught drinking or drugging.

Scholarships: I didn't have problems. But it is pretty individual.

College Freshman

Nightlife: It's a Mormon school....Not really one for parties.

Off-Campus Dining: I don't eat out all that often. But some of the restaurants are really well priced.

4 College Freshman

Academics: I am going to be a music major. the program is amazing, but challenging.

Majors: Not too difficult, but not too easy either. Good teachers and good classes.

Majors: I would do it again/\. Don't have career goals yet.

College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I have never lived off campus.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I live in the modular homes on campus. Takes me five minutes to cross campus, it's great.

4 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: We have a very strict honor code. Violation could end up in a fine, a visit with the honor council, or even expulsion. Some of the item on the code are: No drinking, drugs, or sex. This helps students focus on making themselves better people.

Health & Safety: I feel very safe here. Our honor code keeps most students from causing trouble, but our Security team is willing to help at any time. Earlier this year, a girl in my dorm started a minor grease fire in our house. Luckily there was a fire extinguisher nearby and the fire was put out. We called security and someone came over in the middle of the night. He asked us if we needed the giant fans from the fire department and was willing to go get them. So, even in a crisis.

Diversity: Even though it is an LDS school, anyone is welcome if they agree to follow the honor code. I have not seen any problems with diversity. Many students are recruited for sports. A lot of them are not Mormon. But they have just as much right to be here.

Health & Safety: We are located in a small town where one doesn't feel scared walking around by themselves for the most part.
