Scholarships: My first year of school at Southern University, I was recieving three different scholarships. I received an Engineering Scholarship, Academic Scholarship, and a DEMCO Foundation Scholarship. When I had to go to financial aid to verify all scholarships had been processed, it took an very long time. I would sometimes get the run around from the staff and learned quickly that calling over the phone was not the best option to verify scholarships.

Scholarships: Financial aid is available! However, there have been long lines in the past and rediculous waiting periods to recieve, process, or view financial aid. In defense of SU staff many of it is due to students not reading their information, at the a same time the process could be less strinuous. its almost like getting something passed in congress. but they have just recently built a new building for financial aid and I haven't heard nearly as many complaints as previously. so we'll see how it goes...
