5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I feel safe on campus. The students here are generally happy and willing to help out if there is any trouble. The campus police is usually patrolling from early in the morning to late at night. The health care center,as well as the counselors' building, is literally next door to the dorms. Crimes rarely occur and I have yet to witness any crimes as of yet.

Health & Safety: The location in Shreveport is almost a joke. They have some great professors but the classrooms and science labs are worthless. I took Chemistry Lec & Lab last semester and due to the lack of venting in the lab we were not able to do any types of experiments.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: It's pretty safe my preference is to be in others company while exiting night courses.

Health & Safety: Police are always on campus. Regular police check points maned by multiple municipalities. New system of LED Light poles throughout campus, there are emergency phones, and a shuttle is available to bring you to your room when its cold or late and you don't want to walk a long path alone in the dark(especially if you're female). Just don't walk alone ladies. I tend to walk my lady friends to their cars and or dorms. These days you can't be too careful. Always be prudent, carry pepper spray, or a pocket knife(only use if you are being actively harassed don't brandish it). Again find someone who is trustworthy and even text to let people know where you are or where your going. Again be prudent, don't always rely on security measures. Don't be naive, criminals are smart.
