Tuition & Financial Aid: Southren State is a very cost effective college. It is actually one of the cheapest in the state, which is why I chose to go here. The cost is around 5,000 which may be alot still but it is cheap. There are many topics that are covered in this school but they only offer associates degrees. They are ,however, doing bridge programs, so you can get a B.A. in certian degrees now. The financial aid does have it's glitches but it is soild here. They are straigh forward with the cost and everything like that. After all it is their money and your money that they are dealing with.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I believe the school provides good education for the tuition. Tuition is reasonable and credit hour rates are also. Financial aid can get a little messy. But overall pretty easy.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Southern State is one of the most affordable colleges around. Between my finnacial aid and the $2000 GPA-based scholarship I got from SSCC, I do not have to pay a dime. As long as you have good grades, Southern State is great!

Tuition & Financial Aid: They hardly offer anything. All they gave me was a small loan, even though there is no way I could come up with all that money on my own.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The process is fairly easy, although you can qualify for more money in financial aid loans, they tend to limit you. For example, I can qualify up to 10,500 in unsubsidized/subsidized loans, they only allow you up to 1500 a quarter. Some people needs are more and if I am the one paying it back, I do not feel they should limit you completely like that. The education here is good, I love the professors, they make it worth your while. Financial aid office is pretty good for the most part, although on a couple of occasions that I have called must have been on a day that the representative was having a bad day. We all have those bad days and need to learn how to deal with them and others in a professional manner.
