3 College Senior

Majors: I definitely had a lot of application-stress as I changed my major. The advisors all seemed to want to hand me off to the next one in line.

Majors: There appears to be a lot of job opportunities through our career development center that I hope to utilize my senior year here.

Guys & Girls: I would appreciate more LBGT support in our community. It seems like there is a lot of homophobia at SIUE.

5 College Senior

Facilities: The campus is beautiful. It is surrounded by forest and wildlife, just like home.

Facilities: Campus activities are pretty fun, especially the dances held on the quad at the beginning of every fall semester.

Campus Dining: It could be worse, but it definitely is not excellent.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: There are some strict rules at SIUE, but they are necessary and properly enforced.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: SIUE is full of unique opportunities. There is always fun activites planned for the students; never a dull moment at this college.

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: SIUE has a great student life on campus. There is constantly new activities to participate in.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I feel very safe on campus. I have never once felt like I was in danger, the safety and security on campus is great.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: There is a good mix of students from America and students from other countries all over the world. All races and cultures are accepted.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I went through a lot of application processes and interviews, but I ended up getting a scholarship that covers my entire undergraduate tuition.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: So many great options, I will never go hungry! The food is also reasonably priced. If I have left over money from my meal plan, It will roll over or I get a refund.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I like to live on campus. It is easy to make new friends and get involved in activities with other people on your floor.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: There are several off-campus options available to live in and there are all reasonably priced. They are easy to obtain and are very safe.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: The leader of my program is aboslutely fantastic. I am going into speech pathology and she has helped me get all of the right classes to get a perfect schedule.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: I did not have trouble getting into my program. Graduate school is what I will have difficulties with getting accepted. Most schools only take 20 students into their grauduate program for speech pathology out of hundreds of applicants.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are a variety of places to eat off-campus. There is a good mix of cheap fast food and reasonably priced nice restaurants.

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Very simple living, not a lot of reactions

3 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: The atmosphere and people are fantastic!

1 College Freshman

Scholarships: According to them, my EFC is too much for me to receive aid. This is extreme saddening seeing how my family can't afford college. I'm telling you to save your coins and expect the unexpected.

College Freshman

Greek Life: I'm not aware of the Greek life, so I can't effectively expound on it.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: We have several different places to choose from! You can even venture out to St. Louis, which is relatively close and go to Sweetie Pies! The food here is great.

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: This school isn't very strict, but they're strict enough to make you comply. They don't allow underage drinking and drugs. That's the biggest rule that they enforce. You will be jailed or put on probabtion if you're caught. You have the ability to go out and do things at your leisure, and the campus police are extremely polite. They will help you and guide you whenever you need it.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Living on campus is definitely a breeze. The dorms are pretty nice, though they are different sizes. I don't think that's fair. For every two dorms, you get a shared bathroom, so that's pretty convenient. You share your bathroom with three other people and it's up to you guys to clean it. The students are relatively sociable and the atmosphere is usually laid back. The cost is a bit much, but once you get the finincial end figured out, you're good to go. The housing process isn't hard or long at all! It actually goes by pretty smoothly!
