5 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Carbondale is the best. The natives are amazing people and love the college students. There is always a local event going on may it be an art show, concert or farmer's market. There are small local boutiques and an average size mall. There is the University's sports and about 20 minutes away there is a minor league baseball team which has cheap tickets and it a lot of fun to go to!

Local Atmosphere: I wish there was a huge mall close by. There is a mall, but completely isolated, just a few stores.

Local Atmosphere: Carbondale, Illinois is a college town. This means that the town thrives on the students. That being said, Carbondale caters to the students. There are always things to do whether they are indoor activities, or outdoor adventures. There are both campus police and Carbondale police that create a safe environment.

Local Atmosphere: Shopping is not the greatest but it is not an extremely big town. We do have some attractions if you enjoy nature, hiking and outdoors stuff.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: That atmosphere is alright for the most part. Really rural and things don't really happen. However there is nothing really to do off campus
